IGNOU Srinagar

IGNOU Regional Centre Srinagar was established in 1999 on the campus of the University of Kashmir with just four programs and 1000 learners. Over the years, it has grown significantly and now serves more than 50 thousand learners. The centre has also expanded its reach through the establishment of 45 Learner Support Centres (LSCs), which include 32 Regular Study Centres, 12 Programme Study Centres (PSCs) & 1 Special Study Centre (SSCs) spread across various districts of its jurisdiction.

The dedicated staff at IGNOU Regional Centre Srinagar and the part-time staff at LSCs/PSCs are committed to providing comprehensive support services to the learners. Grievance redressal has developed a regular feature at both the regional centre and the support centres to effectively address any issues or complaints of the learners.

The centre conducts various online and offline sessions to guide and inform learners about the preparation of synopsis, dissertation, projects, and internships. Additionally, It has signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with medical institutions to facilitate internships for the learners. IGNOU Srinagar  UG Admission

Srinagar Regional Centre offers various undergraduate courses under a wide range of specializations.

All UG courses require the candidates to have passed 10+2/HSC from any recognized board or BPP from IGNOU. The candidates are selected based on merit in the previous qualifying examination.

Also, eligibility conditions exist for aspirants willing to apply for the BLIS course. Aspirants having a Bachelor's Degree with 50% marks can apply to the course.

Moreover, candidates having a Bachelor's Degree with two years of working experience or a bachelor's degree in a Specialised area such as Engineering, Pharmacy, Law, etc, can apply for this course.

IGNOU Srinagar PG Admission

IGNOU Srinagar offers various postgraduate courses. These courses are for two years.

IGNOU Srinagar  MBA Admission

All the PG Courses offered at the  Srinagar Regional Centre have a basic eligibility criterion of having graduated in any discipline from a recognized university, except for the M.Ed course, which requires candidates to have a B.Ed or B.EIEd degree. However, some courses have specific additional eligibility conditions. For example, candidates applying for the MCA course must have studied Mathematics as a distinct subject at the 10+2 level along with graduation.

For most Postgraduate (PG) courses, the selection is based on merit, meaning candidates are admitted based on their academic performance and qualifications. However, the selection process for the MBA course may differ and could involve additional factors beyond academic merit.

 IGNOU Srinagar Distance MBA is in high demand because of their acceptance in the corporate world. The candidates applying must graduate in any discipline with 50% marks for the General Category.

IGNOU OPENMAT Examination: Students applying for MBA programs must take the OPEN MAT exam. It's a computer-based online exam. The examination is scored on a percentile basis, and the results are declared within a few weeks after the exam.
