Indira Gandhi National Open University was established in 1991 in its Regional Centre at Karnal, Haryana. It has its purview over Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and Haryana to build inclusive knowledge through inclusive education and to offer high-quality education through Open and Distance learning mode.
IGNOU’s Regional Centre at Karnal, Haryana, operates its study center in the cities like Yamuna Nagar, Sonepat, Panipat, Bhiwani, Rohtak, Karnal, Hissar, Kurukshetra, Jind, Sirsa, Kaithal, and Bodia Khera, excluding the areas of Mewat, Ambala, Palwal, Faridabad, Gurgaon, and Panchkula.
IGNOU for Distance Learning, Karnal facilitates on-demand examination, online viva, teleconference, convocation, active learning center, psychology lab, library, etc.
IGNOU offers distance learning graduation and post-graduation level courses like BA, B.Com, BCA, B.Sc, BBA, BSW, MA, MBA, M.Com, M.Ed, MCA, and many more. It also offers diploma and post-graduation diploma courses Tourism Studies, Higher Education, Disaster Management, Journalism and Mass Communication and so on along with specific certificate courses in Consumer Protection, Food, and Nutrition, Labour Development, Rural Development, etc.
Distance MBA
The world of work is challenging and changing fast, and pursuing an MBA is a big plus for your career. Usually, the MBA course is two years or 24 months program with four semesters divided. He/She should have been appeared for entrance exams before taking admission.
- Candidates must hold a graduate holder with a minimum of 50% marks. The candidates' selection is based on marks obtained in their graduation and the personal interview performance.
- Institute provides two years program, and the fee structure is INR 31,500 for the full course. There is ‘n’ number of courses available under the master’s degree program.

PGDM in Distance Learning:
The program constitutes a 1-year course and should be a qualified student from any recognized board. Also should have been appeared for the entrance exams with passing marks.
- The full course fee is INR 7,800 that is for one year. It is split into semesters, and cost can be cleared semester wise or all at once.
The candidate should have at least 50% aggregate in their previous graduation to get admission in this course.

I have completed my UG degree and have got placed in the good company after studying here. IGNOU Karnal admission for the Distance MBA is OPENMAT or any test like CAT, MAT, ATMA or anything as such. As I know it is the best in which anyone can do distance learning. OPENMAT entrance exam is conducted in the month of July and February so that time we will have to write and qualify in that to get admission. Study materials also will be provided for the students and classes will be conducted mostly in the weekends. Scholarships are also offered for the reserved category.
