Goa University, established in 1985, is a coeducational public higher education institution. Goa University Course Admission

Admission in Goa University is based on merit or entrance exam scores. The admission process typically begins in February or March. The University provides UG courses in various fields through its affiliated colleges, while its departments provide PG courses. 27,000 students are currently enrolled in UG Programmes. • Admission to undergraduate programs like the BA, BBA, B.Sc., BCA, and BSW, among others, is based on how well you did in the prerequisite exams. The basic requirement for admission to the UG program is a 10+2 grade point average from a recognized board.
• In addition, candidates must pass the Goa University Admissions Ranking Test (GU-ART) to be considered for admission to the PG and B.Ed. Programs.
• For admission to the Goa University Engineering, B. Pharm, M.E, B.Arch, MBBS, and MBA programs, Goa University also accepts scores from national and state-level entrance exams like GCET, GATE, NATA, NEET, and CMAT/CAT, which is followed by university-based counselling.
• An acceptable score on the CMAT or XAT, in addition to a successful interview and general test, will determine whether an MBA student is admitted to Goa University. MBA in Goa University is considered to be informative and developmental.

Students can apply for courses from anywhere because the University keeps the application process online. Students appearing for Goa University Entrance Exam must register as the main step. When applying to University, the following steps must be completed:

• Candidates must  visit the official website of Goa University.
• Students must check the admissions page and apply for the course they want.
• Complete all required personal and academic information accurately.
• After completing the online Goa University application form, candidates must print a PDF copy of the filled-in form generated by the system.
• Speed Post should be used to send the printed application form, with the candidate's official signature, the Demand Draft, and attested copies of the required documents.
• On the converse side of the Demand Draft, the candidate should include their name, Reference Number, and the program name they are applying for.

Goa University Placement 

The University has a cell for placement and career counselling. The Directorate of Student Placement and Alumni Relations (DSPAR) is the name of the University's placement division. The placement department at University helps students in their final year find jobs. Every year, a university placement is held. The placement cell organizes various activities to prepare students for placement. Students receive assistance with internships from the placement department as well. Goa University Scholarships 

For deserving and meritorious students, the University offers a variety of scholarships, freeships, and research studentships. The following are the specifics for the same:

Merit Scholarships: Students are eligible if they earn at least 65% of the total marks in Science Streams and more than 60% of the total marks in Arts, Commerce, and Management Studies on the qualifying exam.

Studentship for free: This is open to students whose parent's income is no more than INR 3 LPA. The candidate must have received at least 50% in the Science stream and at least 45% in Arts, Commerce, and Management Studies.

Research Scholarship: Full-time research researchers who have gotten at least 55% imprints in Graduate degrees and whose PhD enrollment has been affirmed are qualified.

Goa University Hostel

On the  University campus, male and female students can access hostel accommodations. Students enrolled in postgraduate programs and research students on the university campus receive preference for housing at the Hostels. Students from affiliated colleges can only request hostel accommodations if rooms are available.

Along with lodging fees, students living in university hostels must pay mess fees (for breakfast, lunch, and dinner) in advance for the semester. Goa University Hostel fees is approx. INR 10,000.
