Vivekananda Institute of Technology (VIT) was started by the Janatha Education Society (JES) in the year 1997 to provide the students with technical education, which improves research and innovation for the betterment of society. The institute is recognized by the Government of Karnataka, approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, and is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum. The institute offers undergraduate courses like B.E. and research programs like Ph.D. with various specializations.

Entrance Exams:

The institute offers undergraduate courses like B.E., postgraduate courses like M.Tech, and doctoral courses like Ph.D. To get the admissions, the candidates have to clear the state level entrance exam with a good score as per the category cutoff. Application Process:

Offline Mode: Candidates can visit the college campus and enquire at the admission section to seek the application form.

Application form payment:

For offline application form: Candidates can make payment through Demand Drafts of INR 1500 in favor of ‘Finance Officer, VTU, Belagavi.’

Enclosures of Mandatory Forms:

  • 10th standard certificate

  • Marks Card of 10+2/ Equivalent exam

  • Conduct certificate (if applicable)

  • Transfer certificate (if applicable)

  • Entrance exam scorecard

  • Migration certificate (if applicable)

  • Any other (if required)

Management Quota/Direct Admission:

  • The students must appear for the exams conducted by KEA and have cleared the entrance exams with a good score.

The college admissions committee further conducts interviews to select eligible students for various courses.

Vivekananda Institute of Technology admission to BE course is given on the basis of KCET ranking and I also joined through CET only. We get some ranking and based on that they provide admission in colleges for the students so similar way I got admission in this institute for BE.

Hi Harish,

B.Tech in E&C eligibility criteria 

  • Aspirants should have minimum 50% aggregate score in 10+2 in science stream from a recognized board.
  • A valid score in KCET/GATE/COMEDK entrance test is mandatory
  • Shortlisting is based on the counseling and the score obtained in the previous examination. 
  • Interested aspirants can apply online/offline with the required information

Can i get admission without any entrance exam.

Hi Jagannath Prasad,

  • For admission at Swami Vivekananda Institute of Technology SVIT for MBA, candidates should have a valid score in ICET entrance examination and minimum 50% in graduation. 
  • Admission is strictly based on merit list and there is no management quota admission available at SVIT.

Hi Mayur,

The Admission procedure and the Eligibility in Vivekananda Institute of Technology is:

  • The aspirants should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics along with Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science/ Electronics.
  • And the aspirants need to get 45% of marks in aggregate in the optional subjects.

The Admission procedure:

  • The Authorized aspirants will be called for Personal Interview based on marks obtained in Entrance examinations conducted by KEA/ GATE or Entrance Exams conducted by the University.

And the fees for the course is

  • The fee for the course for B.TECH is 108000, and the duration for the course is 4 years.
