VIT was established in the year 1997 with affiliation to the VTU. It is accredited by the AICTE and recognized by the Govt. of Karnataka. VIT offers its students admission to the courses of B.Tech, M.Tech and PhD. It is located on a vast 26-acre plot of land in a pollution-free setting surrounded by lush nature. VIT has advanced engineering abilities are provided by state-of-the-art laboratories staffed by trained personnel. This college provides excellent infrastructure with all of the essential services, including internet and Wi-Fi. The central library is well-stocked with national and international journals and e-books and an e-learning facility. Faculty and employees are qualified, experienced and committed. Boys and females hostel with clean rooms and no mess on campus

VIT offers its students a BE course, a four-year full-time degree course offered in five different types of specializations.

Eligibility Conditions

  • To be eligible for admission to the BE program at VIT, aspirants are required to have qualified their class 12th examination with PCM as compulsory subjects with minimum 45% of marks in aggregate. (5% of relexation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC and other backward categories)

Selection Criteria

  • For admission to the B Tech under Government Seat, candidates have to secure a valid rank in KCET as per the cut off requirement prescribed by VIT. The seat allocation will be done through KCET Counselling.
  • Non Karnataka Students can apply through COMEDK Scores followed by counselling.
  • Candidates can also apply for direct admission under Management Quota at VIT Bangalore. The selection process is will be based on merit in qualifying exam followed by personal interview conducted by VIT admission authority.
  • In addition, candidates must have attempted any of the common entrance tests JEE Main/KCET/COMEDK to be eligible.
  • For Management Quota admission, students have to approch the institute by visiting the campus or can do an enquiry by visiting college’s website.

VIT M.Tech Admission

VIT also offers to its students a PG course of M.Tech in two different types of specializations.

  • Aspirants must have a good performance in PGCET conducted by KEA to be eligible for VIT M.Tech program. Candidates with valid GATE scores are also eligible to apply.
  • To be eligible, students shall have done BE/B Tech Degree with a minum of 50% marks.
  • Admission under M Tech Management Quota Seats at VIT, will be based on the eligibility criteria set by VTU/Admission Authority and for further selection criteria, VIT will conduct Interview.

Those who have passed 10+2 must appear for the TS AMCET, a state-level entrance exam, with valid scores. The cut-off rank for the CSE stream is 91041.
