Eligibility Criteria/Cut-off for Admissions 2021

The Institute, popularly known as UAS, started in 1964, situated in Bangalore, Karnataka. It is one of the premier institutes that provides education in agriculture and research. The Institute started with a vision to offer efficient and responsive agricultural education to the farmer's society. UAS is teaching extension programmes in research and agriculture in the state and the country. The Institute manpower learning to support agriculture in the state. The plan is to achieve excellence in the field of research, reinforcement, education and extension. It is State University approved by UGC and ranked at 101 positions overall by NIRF.

UAS offers UG and PG courses for four and two years, respectively, with various disciplines. Admissions for undergraduate and postgraduate courses will be based on the entrance test conducted by the University, and students of the reserved category will be provided 5% relaxation. The application form can be downloaded or filled on the official website.

University of Agricultural Sciences B. Sc / B. Tech Admission 

  • UAS offers five B. Tech programs and three B. Sc programs with various disciplines to applicants with eligible marks.
  • The college offers B. Tech in Agri Engineering course, B. Sc in Agriculture, and B. Sc in Agri. Business Management.
  • The students eligible for B. Sc in Agriculture at UAS must have passed 10+2 with 50% marks in PCB or any other Science subjects from a recognized board.
  • The applicants must have 50% in 10+2 in PCM to be eligible for B. Tech in Agri at UAS.
  • The applicants seeking admission to B. Sc and B. Tech at UAS must clear the KMAT entrance exam with qualifying marks.
  • The students must obtain the KMAT Cut-Off score of UG at UAS to get admission for B. Sc and B. Tech courses.
  • The admission to general quota seats at UAS will be provided based on merit. Students who belong to agriculturists or children of agriculturists will be based on a Practical test conducted by the Institute.
  • The PT test will be for 200 marks, and students will have to pass with qualifying marks to avail of UG seats.
  • The final selection for the B. Tech and B. Sc program at UAS will be based on the university's entrance exam and personal Interview.
  • The students applying through the entrance exam conducted by the Institute will have to fill the application form of UAS.
  • The applicant's form can be obtained from the official website of the Institute, or students can fill it online.
  • The applicant's form shall be paid online or offline, and students will have to attach the required documents.

University of Agricultural Sciences M. Sc Admission

  • UAS offers an M. Sc course, and admission to the offered course will be based on merit in the qualifying examination.
  • The M. Sc specializations at UAS will be Agricultural Extension, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Marketing Co-operation & Agri, Agricultural Entomology and many more.
  • The Master's degree program at UAS will be offered for two years with 23 disciplines.
  • The eligibility for the M. Sc program at UAS is to pass Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, Forestry, Agri. Biotech and Sericulture.
  • The admission for the M. Sc program at UAS will be based on merit in the qualifying exam and written exam conducted by the Institute.
  • To get selected for to entrance exam, students will have to fill the application form for M. Sc at UAS, Bangalore official website.
  • The applicants form fees at UAS will be Rs 500/- and students can be paid via DD addressing the college.  
  • The selected candidates will be allowed to write an entrance exam and be clear with qualifying marks.
  • The final selection for M. Sc at UAS will be based on entrance exam scores, academics and personal rounds.

The Students Should Obtain the JNU-CEEB Cut-Off of M. Sc at UAS to apply for the PG course. After finishing the JNU-CEEB entrance exam, students will have to appear in counselling sessions conducted by the board.

I was very much interested in the agricultural field so that’s the reason I actually joined this college. Even if we have to join B.Tech in agricultural engineering we will have to pass in the KCET and University of Agricultural Sciences Bangalore cut-off marks is 2327 which all the students seeking admission here will have to obtain.

The eligibility criteria for B.Sc. Agricultural Sciences has scored in 10+2 with PCB and any other Science subject or Inter (Agri). The selection criteria will be based on the merit scores in the qualifying exam.

admissions for management quota???

This is a state university where candidates only on basis of merit shall be able to take admissions at University of Agricultural Sciences Bangalore for any course. There are no management quota admissions available.

The primary requirement is that you have completed a 10+2 or comparable test with related topics. In addition, the candidate's final selection and B.Sc. admission to UAS will be based on their performance in the Qualifying Examination, as well as their performance in the Entrance Examination and Personal Interview. Candidates can apply to the course by downloading the application form from the university's website.

Can you tell me the fee for B.Sc. in UAS?

For aspirants seeking B.Sc. admission to UAS, the fee structure for the complete course will cost around INR 67k. The first year fee is INR 22k. The remaining three years fee will be INR 15k each year. The fee shall also be cleared semester basis.

Is there any option for students to join this college based on management quota?

University of Agricultural sciences Bangalore do not offer admission through management quota for any of the courses.

I'm from Tamil nadu ,can I get seat in this college for bsc agriculture. If I want to get seat in this college what I should do .please answer me.

To apply for the B.Sc. in Agriculture this university will release its notice for admission into various courses.

  • Candidates who are seeking for B.Sc. in Agriculture admission in University of Agriculture Science, Bangalore will have to download the application form and fill it to submit at the university before the stipulated date as per the schedule.
  • The UAS, Bangalore application fee for general category will be Rs. 500 and Rs. 250 for SC/ST category students paid in form Demand Draft.
  • Admissions to B.Sc. are strictly on merit based and final selection will be based on the entrance exam followed by personal interview. The seats will be reserved for ward of farmers and Agriculturists.

The final selection and B.Sc. agri. admission 2020 to University of Agricultural Sciences Bangalore will be based on the marks obtained by the candidate in the Qualifying Examination. The eligibility required is 10+2 with PCB securing not less than 50% aggregate.

B.Sc. in agriculture is for duration of 4 years and aspirants seeking admissions to B.Sc. at University of Agricultural Sciences Bangalore should have completed class 12th from science stream with acceptable marks. Through merit basis seats will be allotted.

Can I get admissions for B.Tech food technology in this college

The branches of college is been spread in 3 more places other than Bangalore, in Hassan branch there is B.Tech in food technology been provided while there is no BE admissions to food technology in University of Agricultural Sciences Bangalore is available

In order take admission for B.Sc. in Agriculture at University of Agricultural Sciences you must have passed in 10+2 Exam with minimum aggregate score (PCB Compulsory subjects) and selection will be done on the basis of merit. To apply the application forms you must visit the official site of university and can register over der and the application fee for general category charges INR 500 and for the SC/ST Category charges around 250.

Hi, for B.Sc. agriculture program one must be +2 passed out in PCB and on basis of merit in that, admissions to the college takes place.
