Sri Muthukumaran Institute of Technology UG course Admission 

The Institute of SMIT offers a B. Tech / BE course in eight disciplines for four years. The Institute provides 60 students per academic year.  

• Eligibility for B. Tech / BE course at SMIT, candidates must have scored 50% marks in the 10+2 exam with PCM as main subjects. 
• Admission for BE at SMIT is based on Merit and TNEA counselling conducted by AU.
• Eligibility for BE lateral course at SMIT, students must have passed diploma or B.Sc degree with Maths as compulsory subjects. 

Sri Muthukumaran Institute of Technology ME course Admission 

The Institute offers two years full-time ME course to eligible students. ME course at SMIT offers four specialisations with an intake of 24 students per year. 

• Eligibility for ME course at SMIT, candidates must have passed B. Tech or BE from a recognised board. 
• Admission for the ME course at SMIT is based on GATE / TANCET examination scores.
• Candidates of the SC / ST category must have scored 45% to get Admission.
• It is an advantage for the candidates who have work experience in a relevant field. 

Sri Muthukumaran Institute of Technology MBA and MCA course Admission 

SMIT offers an MBA course for two years with an intake of 60 students per academic year. Eligible students with qualifying marks shall apply.

• Eligibility for MBA course at SMIT, applicants must have 50% marks B.Com / BBA / B. Tech or any other relevant degree. 
• The admission MBA program at SMIT is made through MAT / XAT / CMAT / CAT / TANCET admission.
• Eligibility for MCA course at SMIT, candidates must have passed UG degree with Mathematics as main subjects.
• Candidates who have relevant work experience will have an additional advantage.
