RGIT is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum. RGIT offers students a BE degree at the UG level and an M.Tech/MBA degree of 2 years at the PG level. The PhD research program is also offered in four different types of disciplines.

RGIT BE Admission

RGIT offers its students a BE degree course in six different types of disciplines.

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants seeking admission to the BE course at RGIT should have qualified for the 10+2 level of examination with a minimum aggregate of 45% of marks.
• Candidates shall have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as the main subjects in 10+2. In SC/ST/OBC, the minimum aggregate marks should not be less than 40%.

Selection Criteria

• Students looking for admission to the first year B Tech at Rajeev Gandhi Institute must appear in the entrance exam that is KCET/COMEDK.
• Applicants from other states than Karnataka are eligible to take up the COMEDK Entrance Test conducted by the concerned authority.
• The selection and counselling will be done as per the guidelines specified by KEA (Karnataka Examination Authority)
• Students interested in securing B Tech admission under the Management Quota or NRI Quota at Rajeev Gandhi College can apply directly to the college by filling out the application form available on the college's main website.
• The selection of the candidates will be based on merit according to the marks obtained in the qualifying exam.
• Candidates who have completed a diploma course for three years can apply for B Tech Lateral Entry, a 2^nd-year course. In addition, students must undertake the DCET Entrance Test conducted by KEA.

RGIT M.Tech & MBA Admission

RGIT provides its students with an M.Tech. degree and an MBA degree course at the PG level. In addition, RGIT provides an M.Tech course in four different types of disciplines.

• To be eligible for the M.Tech. and the MBA programs at RGIT, an aspirant shall have graduated in the concerned discipline.
• The aspirant will be admitted to the M.Tech. and the MBA courses at RGIT based on their performance in the PGCET entrance exam, which KEA conducts.
• For selection to the M.Tech course at RGIT, preference shall be given to the GATE-qualified candidates. In addition, candidates must obtain at least 50% as the minimum qualifying score at the UG level.

RGIT PhD Admission

RGIT offers its students a PhD course in 4 different types of specialisations.

• Applicants must have scored 60% of marks in their Master's degree to be eligible for admission to the RGIT PhD program.
• Admission to the PhD course at RGIT shall be done based on VRAT, followed by an interview.
• Aspirants qualified in UGC / UGC-CSIR JRF / SLET / GATE / NET are exempted from VRAT.
