Madras Christian College was started in Chennai as a school in 1837. The College is affiliated with the University of Madras. The college started its UG and PG self-financed, and govt. Key Facts:

  • To get admission for the UG course, the age limit as of 1 July should be 21 years old, and a relaxation of 5 years is given for physically disabled students and 3 years for women applicants.
  • The applicants other than the Tamil Nadu State Board, CBSE Board, ISCE board, and AISSCE board are supposed to produce an eligibility certificate from the University of Madras.
  • The applicants who have cleared the 10+2 exam from Tamil Nadu State Board by private study & private candidates from CBSE or under the open school system must produce an eligibility certificate.

MCC Post Graduate Courses-

Madras Christian College provides M.Sc., MCA, MA, and MSW courses at the Postgraduate level. Self-Financed MCA course admissions are based on the marks scored by the candidate in TANCET that Anna University conducts.

Another Postgraduate course admission is based on the merit list that will be announced by the college, which will be selected based on the candidates’ scores in the qualifying degree course.

  • The applicants with no than 50% score in graduation are eligible for applying to MSW and MA admissions.
  • Applicants with a UG degree in business Management, Commerce, business administration, or any equal qualification with accounts are eligible to apply for admission in M.Com computer concerned business application.
  • To apply for the M.Sc. program, the candidate must be a chemistry graduate with mathematics.
  • To get admission to M.Sc. Microbiology, the applicant must be a graduate in botany/ microbiology/ biochemistry/ zoology/ nutrition & chemistry/ dietetics.

Candidates who passed in +2 Board exams, preferably from the commerce stream, are eligible for B.Com. Through the qualifying examination, merit basis B.Com admission for MCC will be granted. The B.Com fee will cost approx. INR 83.7 K for the complete program.


What is the fees structure for the BBA course in MCC?

The MCC is a government-aided program and the BBA is a UG course for three years, and the fees structure is 17 K per annum.

Madras Christian College does not offer correspondence/distance courses. It does only provide full-time programs at UG and PG level.

Madras Christian College offers BSW for duration of 3 years and the eligibility to apply for BSW is applicants should be 10+2 passed with minimum passing marks in relevant discipline from a recognised board. Final selection will be done based on merit.

This college provided UG courses like BA, B.Voc, BCA, B.Com, B.Sc. All UG admissions are done based on Merit. The application form of the all the UG program is been given in the website by which you can apply. Admissions to this course will be done based on the aggregate you obtain in 12th. You must have 50% or more marks to be eligible.
