KSIT in Bangalore offers UG and PG engineering programs. The institute is well-recognized for its academic excellence and is affiliated with VTU. The curriculum is NAAC accredited with A+ grade as well. Students willing to join this institute must have met the eligible academic and entrance test scores. The accepted entrance exams in KSIT are KCET/ COMED K/ GATE/ KPGCET. Majority of the seats are provided under state quota based on the counselling rounds. For the academic year 2026, the colleges expect high admissions for B-Tech program. Also, the high in-demand B-Tech stream is CSE. B-Tech: It is a UG program for engineering aspirants. The course duration is for 4 years and the KSIT offers the course in 7 different specializations such as CSE, ECE, AI and Machine Learning, Cyber security, Mechanical Engineering, Computer and Communication Engineering, CS and Design. K S institute of Technology B-Tech fees ranges from 5.2 lakhs to 8.8 lakhs.
M-Tech: KSIT offers M-Tech program at PG level for the duration of 2 years. The course is available in CSE specialization. The fees structure for M-Tech program in KSIT is INR 1.39 lakhs for the entire program. Per annum it would cost INR 69.5 K approx.
Step 1: Eligibility criteria:
For B-Tech program, the eligibility requirement is to have passed in 10+2 board exams in science stream. For M-Tech programs, applicants must have completed their graduation degree in B-tech from recognized University with min of 50% marks and no backlogs.
Step 2: Appear for entrance exam:
KSIT accepts KCET/ COMED K for B-Tech admissions. For M-Tech program, GATE/ KPGCET scores. It suggested for the students to take up relevant entrance exams. Qualifying students can then seek for course admissions in KSIT.
Step 3: Counselling process registrations
Applicants with qualifying entrance exam scores in KCET or KPGECT can apply for relevant counselling rounds. For KCET they can register through KEA. And for COMED K through its official website. After participating in the counselling rounds, K S Institute of Technology course admissions will be provided.
Step 4: Choice filling and seat allotment
After registering for the process, applicants must do choice filling step and enter “KS Institute of Technology” name under the college preference section. Based on entrance exam rank, college reference, seat availability in the college, seat allocation will be done. Category of applicant also acts as a factor in this step.
Step 5: Document verification
The finalized students in the counselling process will then have to appear for document verification step. This will happen offline where the applicants must visit the authority office. After verifying the documents, students will be given seat confirmation letter.
Step 6: Fees payment and admission confirmation
In the end, after receiving the confirmation mail, the applicants can either accept it or reject. On acceptance of the mail, applicants are supposed to pay the course fees and submit the docs before joining the program.
Applicants for B-Tech program must have appeared for KCET entrance exam at state level and then based on the qualified scores they must register for counselling rounds through KEA. As per the previous year statistics, the KS Institute of Technology KCET cut-off for B-Tech is 31048 – 121889. This range can be kept as reference for the academic year 2026.
Other than KCET, another entrance exam that is highly accepted for B-Tech admission is COMED K. This exam is for the students from other states willing to take admission for B-Tech program in private engineering colleges of Karnataka. After appearing for the exam, based on the scores students must register for counselling rounds. KS Institute of Technology accepted COMED K cut-off is 38487 – 98020.

At KSIT direct admission through Management Quota is possible through management quota.

I have written the entry test called as CET and I also wrote COMEDK. The marks in the KCET were not that great hence I had to take admission through the COMEDK. In this college there are also management quota seats available as they reserve some seats for the management quota.
