Karnataka State Law University (KSLU) is a prestigious institution in the Indian State of Karnataka that offers comprehensive legal education and promotes legal research and advocacy. Established in January 2009, KSLU aims to provide quality education, foster legal research, and produce competent and professional legal experts who can contribute towards the development of society and the legal system.

KSLU is recognized by the Bar Council of India (BCI) and offers a range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in law. There are approx 108 Karnataka State Law University affiliated colleges. Besides, KSLU offers students the chance to intern with government agencies, the Karnataka Legislative Assembly, the State Law Commission, judges of the High Court, and the top law firms in the nation to close the knowledge gap between theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed in the legal profession. The University hosts a Student Law Festival every year that includes client counselling, paper presentations, and other activities to support students and help them develop their skills.

Every year, the KSLU holds two moot court competitions, one in public law and one in international law, to create an ideal setting for law students to refine and chisel their professional talents. In addition to the same, the University offers special lectures on various contemporary themes. Karnataka State Law University LLB Admission

Undergraduate programs offered by KSLU include three year LLB. It provides students with a strong foundation in various law areas and incorporates interdisciplinary subjects to broaden their understanding of the legal system and its societal implications. For KSLU LLB Admission, candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in any stream. Students in the general category must get at least 45% of the possible points, and 40% for SC/ST students. Candidates in the general category must not have reached the age of 30 as of June 1st. For SC, ST, and other underdeveloped communities, it has been 35 years.

Karnataka State Law University BA+LLB Admission

The BA LLB is a 5-year, full-time integrated law program created to enable students to enrol in law school immediately after completing higher secondary education. The course provides students with the skills necessary for a productive legal profession. A minimum of 45% must be earned in the 10+2 or equivalent exam. Karnataka State Law University BBA+LLB Admission

After completing their higher secondary education from any authorized board in India, students may enrol in this full-time, KLSU five-year LLB. The aspirant must have cleared the 10+2 exam or its equivalent from an institution of higher learning in India or abroad. Students in the general category must receive at least 45% (for SC/ST, 40%) to pass.

Karnataka State Law University BCom+LLB Admission

The BCom LLB course combines law and commerce studies into a 5-year integrated law degree. The program is ideal for applicants interested in both legal and business studies. Candidates must have received their 10+2 certificate from any recognized Indian board. Candidates from the commerce stream are preferred. However, the selection is based on academic merit. Karnataka State Law University LLM Admission

Karnataka State Law University PG Diploma Admission

Karnataka State Law University PhD Law Admission

KSLU also offers a variety of doctoral programs for those aspiring to pursue research and contribute to the development of legal academia. The University encourages research in various branches of law. Getting a specialized law degree takes three years. Candidates who have earned their LLM or PG degree in law from an accredited institution are eligible to enrol in a PhD program. The PhD admissions process often includes an evaluation of the research proposal and methodology. Candidates are mandated to take the KSLU Entrance Exam, commonly known as the Research Aptitude test.

The application forms are available to candidates both online and offline.

  • Candidates who wish to apply offline can get the Karnataka State Law University application form straight from the Karnataka State Law University office.
  • Candidates can acquire the KSLU application form from the University's official website to submit their applications online.
  • For students in the general category, the KSLU application fee is Rs. 1000; for ST/SC students, it is Rs. 500.
  • The application fee may be paid via demand draft made payable to the finance officer of the Karnataka State Law University, challan obtained from any SBI branch, credit/debit card, or net banking.

For Outside Karnataka students

Candidates may obtain the application form in person at the university campus or online through the institution's website. The completed application must be sent to the following address and any required attachments: Karnataka State Law University, Navanagar, Hubli - 580025. For Indian students, the application fee is Rs. 2200, while it is Rs. 11000 for international applicants.

Karnataka State Law University Results

The exams for the odd semester at KSLU are held in April, while those for the even semester are held in November. For the odd and even semesters, the University also holds entrance exams, supplemental exams, and improvement exams in July and January. The University uses a 10-point grading scale to assess students' performance on semester exams. Every semester, there are two internal exams, and the results of these assessments are contributed to the final test score.

Students have 15 days from when the Karnataka State Law University exam results are announced to request a reassessment if they discover any errors in their scores. Students must complete an online application and pay a Rs. 500 application fee for each paper. The KSLU revaluation results date will be made public one month after the application. For practical exams, KSLU does not accept any requests for reevaluation.

  • After loading the website, students will be prompted to choose the course, semester, and registration number for which the results are needed.
  • The results will be shown on the screen after submitting the details.
  • The final scorecard is available for students to download and print out for correspondence in the future.
