Eligibility Criteria
- The aspirants seeking admission to the 4-year full-time BE program at CEC must have passed the 2nd PUC / 12th standard or equivalent examination.
- English will have to be one of the languages and obtain 45% of marks in aggregate in PCM Subjects.
- Students belonging to SC/ST/OBC from the State of Karnataka can score 40% as minimum aggregate marks at the 10+2 level.
Selection Criteria
- The selection criteria for B Tech at CEC depend on students' KCET Entrance Test performance. The CET code is E109.
- Outsiders, that means Non-Karnataka applicants have to attend COMEDK. Students must perform well as per cut-off rank eligibility to get admission. COMEDK CODE is E307
- There are two categories in the admission: Government/Management Quota.
- Students who wish to apply for government seats must participate in KCET/COMEDK Counselling conducted by KEA. (Karnataka Examination Authority) the seat allotment will be done as per the guidelines of KEA.
- While admission to the Management Quota at City Engineering College is based on the merit and score obtained in any of the entrance exams such as UGCET, JEE or UGET
- The seats will be allotted to the aspirants according to their ranks in the merit list and following the availability of seats.

CEC M.Tech Admission
CEC offers its students admission to the M.Tech program at the Post-graduate level. In addition, it provides Computer Science Branch.
Eligibility Criteria
- Aspirants shall have a graduation (50%) degree from a recognized university for admission to the M Tech at CEC.
- Aspirants must have obtained relevant UG degree B Tech/BSc in the concerned stream of Computer Science or any equivalent.
- There will be a 5% of relaxation for the reserved category as per the government norms.
Selection Criteria
- M Tech admission at CEC is based on the candidate's performance in the Karnataka PGCET Entrance Test, followed by KEA counseling. (The KPGCET CODE is T937)
- Thus, applicants undergo counseling phases to become eligible for admission seats under the government quota.
- Admission to the M Tech Management Quota at CEC is based on rank obtained in PGCET, or a valid GATE is considered.
