Eligibility Criteria/Cut-off for Admissions 2022

The Institute of CITECH was established in 2001, located in Bangalore, Karnataka. The institute is affiliated with VTU, Belagavi, and Umesh Educational Trust manages it. CITECH offers UG and PG level programs in various disciplines. Admission for candidates who have qualifying examinations must appear in the respective entrance exam to apply.  Cambridge Institute of Technology B. Tech Admission 

  • The institute offers a B. Tech program at CITECH with seven disciplines with an annual intake of 720 students.
  • To apply for the UG program at CITECH, candidates must have passed 10+2 with PCM as a compulsory subject.
  • Candidates seeking admission must have 45% marks to apply for the B. Tech program, and SC / ST candidates must have 40% to get access.
  • The students in the entrance exam must avail of the cut-off scores of the B. Tech program to get admission.
  • The selection process for the B. Tech course at CITECH will be through KCET or COMEDK entrance exam scores. 
  • The candidates who have appeared in KCET must also have qualifying marks in 10+2 to get admission.
  • The candidates who have qualified KCET or COMEDK will further attend the counseling session.
  • During the counseling session, candidates must register themselves to choose the college and course.
  • Seats for the B. Tech course at CITECH will be provided based on academic performance and entrance exam scores.
  • Students must report to the allotted college to verify the documents and entrance scores within the given time.

  • CITECH offers an M. Tech program with one specialization with an academic intake of 54 students for two years. 
  • The students seeing admission for the M. Tech course at CITECH must have cleared B. Tech or BE with 50% marks and 45% marks for SC / ST / OBC and category one students. 
  • Admission for the M. Tech program at CITECH will be based on GATE or PGCET entrance exam scores for the students to apply. 
  • The selection process will be based on the cut-off scores of the students in the entrance exam for the M. tech course. 
  • The final selection for the M. Tech course at CITECH will be based on counseling sessions conducted by the institute.

  • The Institute of CITECH offers MBA and MCA courses for two academic years to the applicants with eligible scores.
  • The annual intake for MBA will be 120 seats, and for MCA, 60 seats in total per academic year.  
  • The candidates seeking admission for the MBA program at CITECH must have passed any graduation degree with 50% marks and 45% marks for SC / ST students.
  • Students applying for the MCA course at CITECH will obtain 50% marks in UG degree from UGC recognized board.
  • Admission for the MBA course at CITECH will be based on CAT / MAT / CMAT / KMAT or PGCET entrance exam scores.

The Cambridge Institute of technology Bangalore admission process is very similar to the other college admission process in Karnataka. We must write the KCET and according our ranking we get seat in the engineering colleges for the BE course. COMEDK entrance exam will also be accepted for the BE admissions in this college.

Applications will be available online as well offline. Applicants visiting the institute's official website can fill out the form or else can obtain the form from the college admission section. Further through the selection process, can take admission to CIT.


How is the cut-off for MBA in CiTech?

The PGCET score is used to determine admission to MBA at CITech. However, KMAT for MBA is also accepted by the institute. Karnataka-PGCET cut-off for MBA is 8423 under the general quota.

Looking to get admission for MBA at Cambridge Institute of Technology Bangalore, must have qualified in bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline with minimum 50% aggregate score. Whereas, candidates belonging to reserved category need to secure minimum 45% aggregate score. Also, candidates must clear the entrance exam with valid score either in KPGCET or KMAT. Thereafter, candidates who gets qualify in entrance exam required to appear for counselling session for further selection process.


B.Tech entrance exam details?

Hi Kishan,

Cambridge Institute of Technology accepts KCET and COMEDK entrance exams to provide admission for students in B.Tech course. KCET examination will be held in the month of April every year for Karnataka students. For other state students COMEDK entrance exams will be conducted in the month of May every year.
