Birsa Institute of Technology (BIT), Sindri, was formed in 1949 to offer Engineering programs at bachelor’s, Master and Doctoral levels. The programs offered are B.Tech, M.Tech, and Ph.D. with Vinoba Bhave University, Hazaribag.

• Admission for the B.Tech program is through the JCECE merit list.
• Students must have 10+2 or equivalent level with Mathematics & Physics compulsory subjects for B.Tech Admissions.
• M.Tech program requires B.Tech education in applicable discipline with 60% marks.
• A GATE score followed by an Interview is required for M.Tech admissions.
• BIT has an entrance exam for Ph.D. admission, and basic eligibility is M.Tech in applicable discipline with 60% marks.

BIT, Sindri B.Tech Admissions:

The Institute offers a B.Tech program with ten specializations for students with 10+2 in Mathematics and Physics. The Admission will be based on the merit list prepared based on JCECE Counseling. The Institute has no age restrictions for applying to the B.Tech program.

BIT, Sindri M.Tech Admissions:

The engineering program is offered at the Master’s level with five specializations. The students must have a bachelor’s degree in engineering with 60% marks in applicable discipline. The students will be selected based on the GATE score, followed by counseling at the National Level.

BIT, Sindri Ph.D. Admissions:

The Students will be admitted to the Ph.D. program based on the entrance test conducted by the institute and performance in the interview round.
