The academic Entry for the year 2026 is through a clear merit system with KCET and COMEDK. KCET application phase is usually over in mid-February, and the examination takes place at the end of April. The procedure is very simple: after the seat allocation through the counseling, the documentation verification will be done at the college. Those who do not qualify through the rank of the entrance have a Management Quota , although the seats in the CSE are always in great demand and first-come, first-served. 10th/12th mark sheets, valid entrance exam scorecards etc. are the necessary documents to be produced.

Direct admission in Bangalore College of Engineering and Technology refers to securing a seat without going through any entrance exam. Usually, KCET or COMEDK counselling is required. The direct admission path is commonly known as the management quota admission. It is meant for students who have completed class 12th with Physics, Chemistry, and Maths. You also need to meet the minimum eligibility criteria set by the college and VTU. Under VTU Bangalore direct admission, you have to apply directly to the college’s admissions office instead of waiting for centralised counselling. Selection is usually based on class 12th marks, subject, eligibility, and availability of seats. Rather than an entrance exam rank, this admission is based on class 12th. While entrance exam scores are preferred, they are not always mandatory for management quota seats. The fees are higher. Once selected, you have to complete document verification, fee payment, and seat confirmation to finalise admission. Direct admission offers eligible students flexibility and faster seat confirmation.
