The college was established on 21 July 2010 and is the second Govt. College in Darjeeling district. It is one of three govt. Colleges in North Bengal. It was named after Acharya Prafulla Chandra Roy, who is considered to be the father of Indian Chemistry. The college is expected to carry forward the noble vision of this legendary scientist.
The college offers 53 degree programs, with fees averaging 1.8k per year. Jexpo students occupy 60% of seats in the polytechnic. The college maintains a merit list based on Madhyamik's percentage. The college is affiliated with the National Council, Bengal, and is fully government-funded.

APC ROY POLYTECHNIC Admission

The provisional merit list is released first, and the final one is released after counselling.
