XAT 2026 Exam Pattern
The XAT 2026 test is an online examination conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur for admission to MBA and PGDM programs. Candidates who are looking to get in the best B-schools in India must appear for the exam. The exam will be conducted over approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes and will feature five sections: Verbal & Logical Ability, Decision Making, Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation, General Knowledge, and Essay Writing.
The first three sections (VA, DM, QA-DI) will be taken in the allotted time of 175 minutes, and GK and Essay each have 15 minutes allotted separately. All the questions are multiple-choice (aside from the essay question).
There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer, with an additional 0.10 marks deducted after 8 unattempted questions. The Decision Making section is very important to XAT and the selection process, and it is a section that is unique to the XAT examination.
