VIT University UG & PG Admission

Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT University) commenced the application process for UG & PG admission 2021-22. Applicants seeking admission in B.Sc., B.Com, MBA, MCA, and M Tech courses can either apply offline or online by logging into University's official web portal. Candidates must satisfy the eligibility requirements before proceeding to fill the form. VIT University Eligibility Criteria & admission process varies for each different program.

Candidates seeking B.Sc. and B.Com admission at VIT Chennai shall have cleared 12^th /Intermediate with a minimum 70% aggregate marks in the concerned stream. Candidates will be selected based on the merit in the qualifying exam, followed by university-level counseling.

Whereas candidates applying for M Tech /MCA must appear for the University-Based Entrance Exam VITMEE to get eligible for admissions. After the entrance exam's conclusion, the admission authority will shortlist the qualified candidates based on the score acquired in VITMEE. Then, shortlisted candidates should participate in Interview Round for the final selection procedure.

For M Tech admissions, University also considers the GATE valid score. Candidates who have qualified in GATE with a good score equivalent to the cut-off criteria will be eligible to apply for the M Tech course in VIT. Such candidates are not required to appear for VITMEE.

Candidates seeking MBA admission at VIT University must have qualified in any national level entrance tests such as CAT, XAT, MAT, NMAT, CMAT. Finally, Candidates are selected based on the academic exam performance, entrance exam, and  Group Discussion / Personal Interview. Applicants must fill the form for MBA as earlier because the last date to apply for MBA admission is 31^st March 2021.

According to the Examination Schedule, VIT University will conduct VITMEE 2021 on 5^th June and 6^th June 2021. The last date to apply for VITMEE 2021 is 14^th May 2021 and the VITMEE 2021 Slot booking process takes place between 28^th May to 30^th May 2021. Whereas VIT will declare the VITMEE results on 9^th June 2021

How to apply online?

Step 1: At first, visit the main website of VIT University.

Step 2: In the admission section, click on "Apply online." An application form will display on the screen.

Step 3: You must fill in all the mandatory details correctly and click on "Submit."

Step 4: Then, upload the necessary documents according to the stipulated specifications.

Step 5: Pay the prescribed VIT University application fees, which cost INR 1200 through the online payment method.

How to apply offline?

• Applicants must obtain the application form prospects from the designated branch of the post office.
• To obtain the form, candidates must pay the application fees, which cost INR 1200. Candidates can make the payment through Demand Draft or by cash.
• Candidates must submit the duly-filled form through speed post or registered post.
