Tamil Nadu Agricultural University has officially started the admission process. It is for UG and diploma programs for the 2026 academic session. If you’re eligible, you can apply in online mode through the TNAU website. The University has opened admission for various agriculture, horticulture, food, technology, and engineering programs. The TNAU online application process started on May 6. All interested candidates can submit their forms until June 8. The university has clarified that applications will be accepted only in online mode. The printed or offline applications will not be considered.

If you are applying for UG courses, then you have to pass class 12. You should have studied the required subjects.
If you’re applying for diploma courses, then you have to complete class 12th or an equivalent qualification.For the Diploma in Agriculture and the Diploma in Horticulture, you should have studied physics, chemistry, and biology. Meanwhile, students for a Diploma in Agricultural Engineering must have studied Maths along with physics and chemistry.
Vocational stream students with biology and agriculture studies are also eligible for a few diploma courses.

Once the application process finishes, TNAU will make the merit list based on marks obtained in the exam. If you are shortlisted, you will receive an update through email and SMS. Then you need to participate in counseling sessions. The counselling program will be conducted online.
