The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced the NEET UG 2025 counselling dates for the 15% All India Quota (AIQ), deemed universities, AIIMS, JIPMER, BHU, AMU, ESIC and central universities. The announcement is a huge development as lakhs of students who are qualified in the NEET UG exam will be seeking MBBS, BDS and other medical seats in India. As per the official notice, the MCC will start the NEET AIQ counselling registration 2025 and choice filling on July 21, 2025. Candidates can register by visiting the official MCC website.

Candidates qualifying the NEET UG 2025 exam are now able to participate in the MCC NEET 2025 counselling process, which includes choice filling, medical seat allotment 2025, reporting to the college and mop-up rounds. The NEET counselling process will be conducted in four rounds with strict timelines.

Who is Eligible for NEET 2025 Counselling?

1. NEET UG 2025 Qualified: Applicants shall have qualified in the NEET UG 2025 exam. Required to score a minimum qualifying cutoff. (held on May 4, 2025 and results declared on June 14, 2025).

2. Age Limit: The candidates have to complete 17 years by December 31, 2025 (date of birth should be on or before December 31, 2008). There is no upper age limit on the age of candidates.

3. Education Qualification: Candidates must have passed 10+2 (or equivalent), having Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English from any recognized board.

4. Minimum Qualifying Marks: Candidates belonging to the general category must obtain at least 50% aggregate in PCB. Candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC category should obtain a minimum of 40%.

6. Seat Reservation:  The counselling will be conducted for 15% of the All India Quota (AIQ) in Medical Colleges, administered by MCC, irrespective of the DGHS. On the other hand, counselling will be held for 100% seats in AIIMS, BHU, ESIC College, AMU, JIPMER,  and Central/Deemed Universities.

7. Attempts and re-attempts: No limit on attempts for the NEET exam.

 

NEET 2025 Counselling Process

Step 1: NEET Counselling 2025 Online Registration: Go to the MCC website and look for UG Medical Counselling. You will register on MCC's website and enter your NEET 2025 roll number and state of origin, gender and parental details. You will check out and make a payment of NEET 2025 Counselling fees using your NEET-UG roll number as follows:

• General Candidate: INR 1000

• SC/ST/OBC/PwD: INR 500

• Security Deposits: INR 10,000/- (Government), INR 200,000/- (Deemed)

Step 2: Choice and Locking: After the registration process is complete, now is the time to choose the Medical colleges/courses of your preferred choice. There is no limit to the amount of choice, so you can choose the maximum amount that you are able to fill. Just remember to prioritize your choice list and lock before the deadline.

Step 3: Seat Allotment: MCC will allot the medical college course seat you registered for at counselling based on your NEET rank–category as well as the filled choices of the placements and mandate of allocation and allotment. Results can be found on their website, along with download access to your allotment letter.

Step 4: Reporting to College: You now need to visit the college/university which has allotted you a seat, take all your original documents with you, and pay their admission fee. You will also be able to upgrade your seat in the next round of allotment.

Step 5: Subsequent Rounds: What if you do not get a seat, or you want your seat in a subsequent Round? You can either join Round 2, the Mop-Up Round or the Stray Vacancy Round. However, be sure if you accept your seat in Round 2, it cannot be relinquished.

 

NEET Cutoff 2025: Qualifying Marks

These are the minimum qualifying marks in the NEET 2025 exam. If you score equal to or above the qualifying marks, you will be deemed as "NEET Qualified". NTA determines the qualifying marks based on the level of difficulty of the exam and the performance of all the students who appeared for the exam. Only qualified candidates can participate in the counselling process.
