Mumbai University has started the admission process for UG and PG courses across its academic departments, affiliated colleges, autonomous institutions, and recognised centres. For the academic year 2025, the entire admission process is being conducted online as per the National Education Policy (NEP) guidelines. Interested students can apply through the official web portal for admission. The application process for PG Courses started on 13 May. The Mumbai University admission last date 2025 for PG is 3 June. For admission to the UG Courses, candidates are required to submit the application form by 23rd May.

According to the PG admission schedule 2025, online document verification will be conducted on 9 June. The Mumbai University provisional merit list will be released on 10 June. Students will get the opportunity to put up objections. The first Mumbai University merit list will be announced on 17 June. Candidates who get selected in this round must complete their fee payment between 18 and 21 June. The Mumbai University second merit list will be published on 24 June. The payment of fee window open will be open from 25 to 27 June.

Mumbai University Eligibility Criteria 2025 

The University of Mumbai grants admission to a variety of UG and PG programs based on merit. Before applying, candidates must carefully review the Mumbai University Admission Process 2025. Only those candidates who meet those specified criteria will be considered for admission. The eligibility criteria for each program differ. It depends on various factors, including age limit, educational qualification, and marks obtained in the exam. Mumbai University 2025 Eligibility Criteria

The points below show detailed information about the eligibility criteria for Mumbai University admissions in 2025:

  • BA: To apply, candidates have to pass class 12th with English as a compulsory subject. Those with vocational qualifications can also apply.
  • B.Sc: Students should have passed class 12th with physics, chemistry, maths, and English for most B.Sc programs. For a B.Sc in Statistics or Maths, candidates have to study maths or statistics at the class 12th level. Students applying for other science programs must have completed class 12th with a PCM diploma qualification. 
  • MMM (Master in Marketing Management): Candidates must have a bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of experience in Marketing. Alternatively, candidates with professional qualifications like ACA, AICWA, or CAIIV plus 2 years of work experience are also eligible.
  • M.Sc: To be eligible, candidates must hold a BSC degree in the relevant field with at least 50% marks for the general category. Reserved categories have to secure at least 45% marks.
  • M.A: Candidates must hold a relevant bachelor's degree like BA, B.Com, B.Sc, or an equivalent qualification. A Bachelor of Education or Bachelor of Arts (Education) degree with at least 45% marks is also accepted.

 

Mumbai University Reservation Criteria

As per the reservation policy of Mumbai University, a specific number of seats are allocated for candidates belonging to various reserved categories like Scheduled Castes (SC), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and others. Mumbai University Admission Form 2025

To apply for admission at Mumbai University, candidates have to complete the online registration and registration form submission process. Check the steps below to know the detailed format of completing the application form:

Step 1: Go to the official Mumbai University website.

Step 2: On the homepage, find and click the link dedicated to the admission portal. 

Step 3: Click on the apply option. Proceed by selecting the register button to create a new account. 

Step 4: Fill out all the basic details, such as Parent's name, valid email address, birth date, mobile number, etc.

Step 5: After entering all the required details, click on the Summit button to complete your registration. Once submitted, you will receive login credentials. Use these to sign in and continue with the remaining steps of the admission form.

 

Mumbai University Pre-admission Enrollment Form

Once the admission form is completed, candidates have to fill in the pre-enrolment application form in online mode. To fill out the Mumbai University pre-admission enrolment form, candidates have to follow the given steps.

Step 1: Go to the official portal of the university. 

Step 2: Click on the link that mentions the pre-enrolment number.

Step 3: Enter important details. 

Step 4: Select your preferred course and college. You have to enter the aggregate marks obtained in the last qualifying exam. 

Step 5: Click on the submit button.

Step 6: Take printouts of the pre-enrolment form for future reference.
