The NEET 2025 results are expected to be released by NTA on its website on 14th June 2025. As previously noted, the Madras High Court has recently issued a stay order regarding the declaration of the results due to disruptions and unlawful conduct of an examination that occurred at a centre located in Avadi, Chennai. Thus, the NEET 2025 Result Release date is tentative. The authority will soon update the official date.
Candidates can access their scorecards through the official website by using their NEET application number and birth date. The NEET 2025 scorecard will show marks obtained in each subject, total marks obtained, percentile and AIR.
NEET 2025 is very important for students who want to pursue MBBS and BDS courses in India. NTA organizes NEET and enables students to get into prestigious institutions like AIIMS and JIPMER, as well as government medical colleges and private medical colleges.

Recently, on May 16, 2025, the Madras High Court ordered that the NEET 2025 results should not be declared due to complaints from 13 candidates who faced significant disruptions during the exam, including power outages and weather at the Avadi exam centre close to Chennai. The interim order from Justice V. Lakshminarayanan indicates that the NTA should not declare the results until the court hears the matter again. All candidates should stay tuned to official sources for the updated timeline for the release of the results.
Once the NEET 2025 results are released, qualified aspirants must thereafter go through counselling for admission to medical colleges. To do this, they first need to register for counselling on the official website for the All India Quota (AIQ) or their state quota. Thereafter, candidates need to upload the relevant documents, fill in their preferred colleges/courses, and await their seat allotment. If a candidate is allotted a seat in the counselling process, they then must report to that college on time for admission. Candidates must check the AIQ or NEET 2025 state quota counselling official websites regularly. Candidates must be ready with all of their documents in order to follow the timelines to be able to secure their medical seats.
The level of difficulty in the NEET 2025 exam is a significant factor when determining the cutoff scores. Experts said that this year's exam was more difficult than last year. Therefore, we can anticipate that NEET 2025 cutoff marks will probably decrease by 10 to 15 marks in all categories.
When the exam paper is difficult, only fewer students score high marks, so the qualifying and admission cutoffs generally go down. Therefore, if a student scored a little lower than anticipated, he may still qualify because of the difficulty in the NEET 2025 exam.
The NEET 2025 qualifying marks are scores that need to be obtained by candidates in order to be eligible for admission to top medical colleges in India. Only aspirants who have scored equal to or above the qualifying marks can attend the counselling for MBBS, BDS and other medical related courses. The qualifying marks for NEET 2025 are declared by the NTA for each category (General, OBC, SC, ST., etc.) as the basis for their eligibility.

The NEET cutoff marks are the minimum marks a candidate must obtain to be eligible for the counselling award. The cutoff is required annually, depending on the difficulty of the examination and the number of candidates appearing. In addition to cutoff marks, the NTA will also prepare a merit list containing names of candidates who have opted for a 15% All India Quota (AIQ). The merit list will be handed over to the DGHS for allotment purposes under the All India Quota.
After results are announced, candidates who qualify will go through the NEET 2025 counselling process conducted by the Medical Council Committee (MCC) for All India Quota (AIQ) seats and other individual state authorities for state quota seats. Soon after the declaration of results, the authority will update NEET 2025 Counselling Dates.
Stages of NEET Counselling
Apart from MCC counselling and state quota counselling, students must register for these counselling processes separately.
