Eligibility Criteria for MBBS Admission in Punjab

Admission conducting authority has been prescribed the standard eligibility criteria for MBBS admission into Punjab's several medical colleges. Therefore, candidates must fulfill the required eligibility requirements to secure admission.

  • The basic eligibility is candidates shall have possessed 10+2 examination in science stream with minimum 50% aggregate score from any recognized board (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, English as main subjects).
  • Whereas candidates who belong to the reserved category SC/ST / PWD can obtain a minimum 40% aggregate score in the qualifying examination.

Application Process for MBBS Admission in Punjab

Baba Farid University of Health and Sciences releases the application forms via online mode on its official website. Candidates who satisfy the above eligibility criteria can submit the online mode application form. Check out the following steps to fill up the application form for Punjab MBBS Admission

Step 1: At first, candidates are required to register themselves by logging into the respective website of BFUHS in online mode. Upon successful registration, login credentials will be generated, and they will be sent for the candidate's registered Mail ID.

Step 2: Candidates must sign up application form portal using those credentials. Then, candidates can fill up the required details in the application form, namely academic details, contact details, personal details, and NEET score.

Step 3: Candidates must upload the scanned images of the educational documents (Qualified Marks Sheet & NEET Scorecard, Passport size photo along with the signature in a prescribed format

Step 4: Then, candidates need to pay the stipulated application fees/registration fees via online mode (Net Banking) and offline mode (Challan). Punjab MBBS application fees charge approximately INR 1500.

Step 5: Later, candidates can submit the application form and be advised to take the printout of the same for further reference.

Selection Process for MBBS Admission in Punjab

All the Medical Colleges in Punjab provide admission for the MBBS course based on its performance in the NEET-UG entrance exam. Concerned admission authority BFUHS will release the Punjab MBBS Merit List of the qualified candidates who successfully registered for the admissions. Counselling Process for MBBS Admission in Punjab

  • First, candidates need to register for counseling by paying the processing fees. In case candidates failed to pay the counseling charges, they are not allowed to take part in the seat allotment process.
  • Upon successful payment, candidates can fill up their colleges' choices as per their preference, and candidates are advised to choose a maximum number of choices in the option entry form.
  • Thereafter, the admission authority will release the seat allotment order on its official website online. The seat will be allocated for the eligible candidates based on the merit rank and preference choice.
