Punjab Institute of Medical Sciences Jalandhar also known as PIMS, Jalandhar and it is approved under Medical Council of India and affiliated to BFUHS (Baba Farid University of Health Sciences).The College was founded in the year 1999 and it is situated in Jalandhar, Punjab State. PIMS was envisioned by the Punjab Government as the primary medical college along with training hospital in the Doaba region and it is managed under the trust called PIMS Medical & Educational Charitable trust. At present the PIMS College is exceptionally doing well under the direction of Dr Kulbir Kaur.

  • PIMS works to assist the public through several charitable endeavors by arranging medical campus & certain medical checkups in underprivileged areas and adopted 15 villages to organize medical campus on regular basis to provide practical training for the students.
  • PIMS offers UG Course MBBS for the duration of four and half year and there will be 1 year Mandatory rotating internship for the students
  • PIMS, Jalandhar admits 150 MBBS candidates per annum under the admission guidelines of BFUHS and selection of the candidates for admission process will be done on the basis of NEET or PMET valid score.
  • PIMS conducts excess of events for  the knowledge exchange such as CMEs, Seminars, workshops, conferences, topic discussions and research methodology for students through  high qualified  and experienced faculty members
  • PIMS Students are exposed to the innovative learning methodologies such as Combined Vertical and Horizontal training such that students can enhance an inclusive view of medicine.

PIMS College has well stocked central library which contains rich collection of books, Databases, reference books, Journals, E Journals and Audio-Visual Materials and also digital library facility is also available and well equipped Medical Laboratories ,Hostel facility, Cafeteria/Canteen and Spacious Seminar Hall.

The annual Punjab Institute of Medical Sciences fees for MBBS is INR 4.8 lakhs. For the entire program, it will cost INR  27 lakhs for government seats and 57 lakhs for management quota seats.
