IISER 2022 admissions

IISER 2022 admissions are open now; here is how to apply for IAT. 

The official website has announced the notification about the IISER admissions for the 2022-2023 batch of academics. The candidates willing to take up admissions in IISER must register for IAT (IISER Aptitude test). The registration link for IAT is live on the website from 04 May 2022. The last date to register for the exam is on 20 May 2022. It is necessary to take up IAT to get admission for the IISER 5-year program of integrated BS-MS course and 4 years BS-Econ courses.  

The IAT eligibility to apply is: The candidate must be a Citizen of India, POI, or OCI. They must have completed their board exams of 10+2 from the science stream. In the case of general candidates, they must have secured 60% aggregate, and for reserved category students, it is 55% in their qualifying exam. If the candidates are not Indians, they must apply only through IIT-JEE.

The exam date for the IISER Aptitude test 2022 will be held on 03 July 2022. Read below on how to fill in the application for IAT 2022.

• Students who are willing to apply for the IISER Aptitude Test must look for the application link on the official website of IISER. The applications for IAT are accepted only in the online method. Therefore, only one application from a registered mail is accepted, and multiple forms will be rejected.
• Firstly, the candidate must register and get the user ID and login credentials to fill in the form.
• The candidates must fill in the application form using the credentials, stating all the personal and academic details.
• They must also mention the choice of their course in detail.
• They must digitally upload the required documents in the scanned format as required for verification purposes.
• Lastly, they must pay the application/ registration fees and complete the application process.
• The payment can be made by Card, Net banking, or UPI.
• After the application is submitted, candidates must download and keep a copy of the form and fees receipt.

To prepare for the IISER Aptitude Test, the candidates need to know about the exam pattern to be well-prepared. Here is the IISER Aptitude test Exam Pattern:

• This is an online exam held in the CBT method.
• There is a total of 60 questions to solve.
• All the questions asked in IAT are in MCQ format.
• The IAT medium of language is available in English and Hindi.
• For each right answer, 3 marks will be given, and for every wrong answer, 0.75 marks will be deducted.
• The subjects of IAT 2022 are Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology.

Things to be aware of while taking up IAT:

• The candidates must be at the exam center at least 30 min before the exam timings. 
• Carry the admit card along with another Government ID card. 
• They should not carry any gadgets while taking up the exam.
• The candidates must do any rough work on the OMR sheet for MCQ questions.
• IISER will not entertain candidates caught in any malpractice. 

 The admit card for IAT will be released on the website within min of 2 weeks before the exam date. Later once the exam has been concluded, candidates with eligible scores will be followed for counseling, GD, and PI rounds to final select candidates.
