Rao's College of Pharmacy Distance Learning started in 1983, intending to impart professional education in pharmaceutical sciences. It emerges as a leading center for research on drugs and pharmaceuticals to enable prosperity by providing an excellent educational environment to students, which develops them into qualified professionals. Rao's College of Pharmacy is equipped with nine high-tech labs with modern infrastructure and the latest equipment. The Institution has been approved by the Pharmacy Council of India and is affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Anantapur.

• Rao's College of Pharmacy offers Bachelor’s of Pharmacy, Master’s of Pharmacy, Doctor of Pharmacy, and Diploma in Pharmacy programs.
• Minimum eligibility for admission into B. Pharma program is that candidate must have completed 12^th from any recognized state/national board with physics, chemistry and Maths or Biology as subjects with minimum 40% aggregate marks in the qualifying exam.

• M. Pharma is available under seven specializations. For admission, the candidate must have completed a Bachelor’s degree from an institution approved by the pharmacy council of India with at least 55% marks.
• The fee structure of all the courses is quite feasible and can be paid in installments per annum.

• Rao's College of Pharmacy does offer placement facilities; the motive of the placement cell.
• Raos college is to develop and train the students to work in the industry and act as facilitators to coordinate the recruitment processes and arrange campus visits for various prospective employers for the college students.
