NMIMS,Balwant Sheth School of Architecture

BSSA was started in the year 2007, situated in Mumbai. It is affiliated with the University of NMIMS and COA (Council of Architecture) recognized private institute.  The main aim is to provide rigorous academics to students.

• The university has a well-balanced infrastructure with workshops like carpentry, clay, model, exhibition space, AV room International leaser cutting, etc.
• The institute has got individual workstations provided for all the faculties. From the first year, individual workstations are provided to the aspirants with all the necessary facilities like LAN-connected PCs, projection systems, and many more.

Ranking:

Institute is ranked second for the leading Architecture College, and it is the 1st live screening virtual studio in India, which IAAC, Italy, and Spain jointly organize.

Courses & Admission process:

B.Arch. And M.Arch are the main courses offered in the institute. Bachelor of Architecture is a full-time degree with a 5years duration, including an internship for 15-18 months in the planning, construction, etc.

Eligibility to the courses offered in NMIMS is based on the following criteria.

For B.Arch. Admission:

•  Candidate should have secured a minimum of 50% marks in HSC exam from a recognized University with English & Math’s subjects taken together or 10+Diploma 3 years in any domain with at least 50% marks or Diploma in International Baccalaureate with minimum 50% aggregate marks. 
• Minimum 80 marks out of 200 total marks in the NATA entrance exam are eligible for admission in the institute conducts.
•  Around 40 seats are available for the respective course. The fee will cost approximately 2,000,000 for the complete course.

For M.Arch admission:

• B.Arch. With 50% aggregate marks are eligible for admission. Selection is based on the score obtained in B.Arch, which PI follows.
• The aspirant should not be aged above 30 years. Nearly 20 seats are provided for the course.
• The fee will be nearly INR 1,400,000 for the entire two years.

The placement cell is very dedicated and has commenced in 2012 with excellent recruiters. Institute has got an unprecedented number of candidates, like with maximum workshops.

• The campus is situated in the scheme of JVPD, a library with well-stocked books, projects, models, reports, etc. The library area is 129.8 sq. feet, with the latest software being used, i.e., IIMS software with a 40+ aspirants seating capacity.
• The institute's canteen provides sanitary goods with all refreshments and all delicious foods baked.
