Mangalore University distance education admission

Admission to the UG and PG distance courses at Mangalore University is based on their qualified degree exam performance. In contrast, admission to the Mangalore University Centre for distance education b.ed is based on the CET exam, which University holds separately.

  • Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree or a Master’s degree in Commerce / Social Sciences/ Science/ Humanity with a minimum of 50% in the aggregate. Those with a Bachelor’s in Technology/ Engineering specialty in Mathematics and Science and a grade point average of 55 percent or higher are also eligible for Distance education B.Ed in Mangalore University.
  • Based on total marks earned in the CET, B.Ed Admission will be provided. The Selection Committee will compile a merit list based on the overall marks earned by the candidates.
  • Students who wish to apply for Mangalore University Distance Education MBA in Tourism must hold a bachelor’s degree in any stream with a least 50%.
  • To be eligible for Mangalore University Distance UG Courses such as BA, B Com, and BBA, students must have passed 2 year PUC or three-year Diploma from a recognized board.
  • Students wishing to apply for PG courses such as MA or M Com must have earned a UG degree in concerned disciplines from a recognized university.

Eligible candidates can purchase the Mangalore University Distance Admission form from a designated office of the Director/ Co-ordinator by remitting payment via bank challan or DD. Mangalore University distance education application fees are INR 200 for UG and PG courses.

Distance Education Mangalore University Scholarship

Mangalore University’s Center for Distance Education does not offer students scholarship opportunities. Thus, there is no Mangalore University Distance Education Scholarship. Students can, however, take advantage of the scholarships offered by the Karnataka government. On the other hand, students can take advantage of the government’s “Student Loan” program.

  • Devaraj Arasu Scholarship: This scholarship is established specifically for individuals who belong to various backward classes recognized by the Karnataka government. Only those who live in Karnataka are eligible to apply. The primary goal of this scholarship is to provide financial aid to candidates with a family income of less than INR 2.50 lakhs per year.
  • Vidyasiri Scholarship: This is another type of scholarship offered by the Karnataka government to students who are SC, ST, or OBC. The Karnataka Epass Scholarship is another name for this program. The scholarship grant fee is INR 1500 per month.

It is clear that scholarships are offered and established with different categories of students in mind, and the primary goal of these scholarships is to stimulate students through financial aid. The Vidhyasarathi scholarship is another government-sponsored grant.
