Mangalore University Distance Education UG Admission

Mangalore University currently offers only 4 UG programs at its Centre for Distance Education, and UGC DEB has approved all these courses. This approval indicates that the courses meet certain quality and educational standards, ensuring students receive a valuable and recognized education through distance learning.

 

B. COM: The Bachelor in Commerce is a 3-year UG course optimum for students who wish to pursue a positive career in finances and accountancy. Admission to this specific program requires applicants to pass their class 10+2 examinations under approved boards and with relevant subjects. Also, those with a valid diploma from a recognized institute can apply.

 

BA: Similar to the B. Com program, candidates applying to the 3-year BA course must ensure they have passed their class 12th/HSC/Pre-University examinations with good marks. There may be subject-specific requirements depending on the University and the specific BA program you're interested in. For example, if you're applying for a BA in English, you might need to have studied English as a subject in Class 12.

 

BBA: Students trying to get admitted to the 3-year BBA program should have passed their previous qualifying examinations (class 10+2/HSC/Pre-University or any equivalent exams) under approved boards only. Also, having English as a mandatory subject at this academy level is compulsory. The final collection will be made based on the student's merit only, and no entrance exam is required to be taken for the same. Candidates are required to submit the form before the Mangalore University distance education admission date.

 

Mangalore University Distance Education B.Ed Admission

The B.Ed program at this institute spans two years. Admission to the B.Ed program is based on a Common Entrance Test. The Selection Committee prepares a merit list based on the marks gained by candidates in this test. Admission follows the seat matrix for reservations.

 

All selected candidates are required to attend the Pre-admission Counselling on the first day to confirm their seats.

 

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates with 50% marks in aggregate in their Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree in subjects like Science, Social Sciences, Commerce, or Humanities are eligible to apply.

Mangalore University Distance Education PG Admission

Ensure you meet the eligibility criteria for the PG program you wish to apply for. The admission criteria can vary depending on the program, but typically, applicants must have a relevant bachelor's degree from a recognized university. PG Courses include MA, M Com and MBA.

 

MA: It offers a Master of Arts in distance learning mode under various streams. Admission is open for those students who have obtained their UG degrees from relevant institutes with more than 50% in the qualifying exams. The final assortment will be based on the applicant's academic profile and available vacant seats only.

M. COM: For admission to the M Com, students must meet the essential eligibility criteria as decided by the University. The course is available in the Economics discipline.

 

Mangalore University Distance MBA Admission

The Mangalore University MBA Correspondance Courses is one of the most in-demand programs at the University because of the bright career prospects that students get after completing the degree. Since it's a correspondence degree, fresh graduates and working professionals can apply for it.

 

Per the University's rules, candidates must score at least 50% aggregate marks in their UG degree exams, which should have been taken under a UGC-approved university. Also, the University might conduct personal interviews for final shortlisting candidates, and selected ones can opt for a discipline from the ones below.

Mangalore University Distance Learning Application Process

Step 1: Application Form: Obtain the application form for admission to the Center for Distance Education by paying INR 200. You can do this through a challan from any specified bank.

 

Step 2: Choose an Address: You have several options to collect the application form:

Step 3: Payment Methods: You can pay INR 200 at any of the specified banks through the challan.

Ensure the payment is credited to the account of Mangalore University.

 

Step 4: Application Form Collection: Once you've paid, you can visit one of the addresses mentioned above to collect the application form. Please note that this is in exchange for the payment receipt.

 

Step 5: Alternative Method (By Post): You can still obtain the application form if you cannot visit one of the addresses in person.

Send the bank challan (payment receipt) and a Demand Draft (DD) from any nationalized bank. The DD should be drawn in favour of 'The Finance Officer, Mangalore University, Mangalagangothri' and be payable at Mangalagangothri/Mangalore.

Your application form will be sent to you by Post.

 

Step 6: Complete the Application:  Fill out the application form accurately with all the required information.

 

Step 7: Submission: Submit the completed application form and any necessary documents and fees per the instructions provided in the application form and prospectus.

 

Step 8: Admission Process: The University will process your application and, if applicable, conduct an entrance test. Merit lists will be prepared based on eligibility criteria and test scores. If you're admitted, you'll need to pay the program fees.

 

Step 9: Start Classes: Once admitted, you can begin your studies at the Center for Distance Education as per the provided schedule.
