IGNOU Regional Centre Bhopal was established on 5th September 1986, coinciding with Teacher's Day, with an initial enrolment of 1756 students. The regional centre's jurisdiction covers 31 districts of Madhya Pradesh. Over the last three decades, IGNOU RC Bhopal has made significant strides in providing Education and access to learners in rural and urban areas, transcending barriers of gender, caste, class, and creed. The regional centre has established a vast network of 66 Learner Support Centres, comprising 25 Regular Learner Support Centres, 32 Learner Support Centres, 04 Special Learner Support Centres, and 05 Learner Support Centres.

Over the past three decades, IGNOU has been dedicated to providing cost-effective and high-quality higher Education to individuals from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds. The university's commitment extends to underprivileged communities residing in rural and remote areas, jail inmates, women, SC/ST communities, and minority communities. IGNOU Bhopal Learning Methodology

• E-study material - RC has prepared and posted the links to make it simple to access and download study materials on the university website. Please open the appropriate file and click the URL next to your Program's name, according to your program level.
• Academic information - Creating specially designed promotional materials in regional languages or for particular target audiences to support learner facilities. For students, interactive live programming is available on Doordarshan, AIR, local cable networks, TV channels, etc.
• Facilities - The university is housed in a landing area of 0.5 acres. The regional centre building consists of 4 floors.
• A focus on student grievance resolution through various channels, including web meetings, the "Khula Manch" camps, and the IGNOU-Gram Park.

IGNOU Bhopal UG Admission

IGNOU offers a diverse range of UG programs in various fields, and interested candidates should carefully review the eligibility criteria for their preferred UG program to ensure they meet all the requirements before applying for admission.

The UG courses are of 3 years duration and consist of various specializations. The minimum eligibility criteria are 10+2/HSC with a valid score. The merit is the only basis for the candidate's selection. In the case of BLIS, Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree.

In the case of IGNOU Bhopal B.Ed admission, applicants must have a bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university and two years of full-time, regular teaching experience as primary, graduate, or postgraduate teachers in primary, secondary, higher secondary, or senior secondary schools approved by the federal, state, or union territory governments. The Program aims to organize experiences and boost in-service teachers' professional competence.

IGNOU Bhopal PG Admission

Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in the relevant field from a recognized university. The minimum percentage of marks required may vary based on the specific PG program. Selection of the applicants is solely based on merit except for MBA.

IGNOU Bhopal Distance MBA Admission

Graduates from any discipline with a grade point average of 50% are qualified to apply for a Distance MBA. Candidates who have passed entrance exams for admission into management programs administered by organizations like CAT, MAT, and State level exams are not required to take the OPENMAT. The duration of the course is around 2 years. Candidates must obtain the application form for the OPENMAT exam and the Distance MBA program from the official IGNOU website or designated regional centres.

• Complete the application form with all the required details, personal information, educational qualifications, and the preferred study centre (Bhopal, in this case).
• Pay the prescribed application fee for the OPENMAT exam and the Distance MBA program. The payment can be made online or through a demand draft as per the instructions in the application form.
• Take the OPENMAT exam on the scheduled date at the designated IGNOU Bhopal exam centre.
• After the exam, candidates will receive their scores and ranks. Based on their performance in the OPENMAT exam, candidates can apply for admission to the Distance MBA program at IGNOU Bhopal Regional Centre.

IGNOU Bhopal Admission Process

Before registering, all first-time applicants are urged to review the information, including eligibility requirements, fee information, duration, etc.

• Step 1: Go to the IGNOU website and select the "Register Online" tab. Pick "fresh admission" from the drop-down menu after selecting the tab.
• Step 2: When you click, a new window will open with two options: "login" for previously registered candidates and "Click Here for New Registration" for new applications. If you are a new applicant, select the new registration option.
•  Step 3: Return to the IGNOU admissions site after finishing the registration process successfully to continue. Log in as the registered applicant.
• Step 4: The candidate must submit personal information, program details, qualification data, course information, and correspondence information after registration using the "IGNOU Bhopal student Login" button. 
• Step 5: Upload or submit all the required after completion of registration.

IGNOU Bhopal assignment submission

To submit assignments at IGNOU Bhopal Regional Centre, follow the below steps:

Prepare Assignments: Complete the assignments as per the guidelines provided in the study material. Pay attention to each assignment's submission format, word count, and specific instructions.

Download Assignment Coversheet: Download the assignment coversheet from the IGNOU website. It contains essential details like your enrollment number, program code, course code, etc.

Fill in Assignment Coversheet: Fill out the assignment coversheet with the required information. Make sure all details are accurate and legible.

Visit Study Centre: Visit your designated study centre in Bhopal. The study centre details are in your admission documents or on the IGNOU website.

Submit Assignments: Submit the bound assignments with the coversheet to the study centre coordinator. Ensure you do so within the specified deadline in the study material.

Get Receipt: After submission, the study centre coordinator will provide an acknowledgement receipt. Keep this receipt as proof of submission.

Retain a Copy: Keep a copy of your submitted assignments for reference.

Check Status: Check the status of assignment submission on the IGNOU website using your enrollment number.
