Barkatullah University

Barkatullah University, originally known as Bhopal University, was established in 1970 under the state government's sponsorship in the Indian state Madhya Pradesh. The university is accredited with ‘B’ by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and recognized by University Grants Commission.

• Barkatullah University is spread across 360 acres of lush green campus, creating an environment suitable for learning. 
• Barkatullah University facilitates a health center, computer center, library, sports fields, gymnasium, auditorium, bank, and post office. 

A few notable alumni of Barkatullah University are Hassan Sheikh Mohamud: former President of Somalia, Pamposh Bhat: environmentalist and recipient of the Rajbhasha Award for Poetry; Rahat Indori: poet and Bollywood lyricist and Shivraj Singh Chouhan: chief minister of Madhya Pradesh. 

Barkatullah University enables students to organize various events and fests to provide a podium for them to reveal their talents. The institute has also maintained a sports stadium to encourage the students in the field of sports. 

Barkatullah University is located near various attractions like DDX Cinemas, Inox, Kanha Fun City, Sair Sapata, Van Vihar National Park, Kerwa Dam Lake, Katara Hill Botanical Garden, and many such places for the students to hang out during their spare time. 

Placement:

Training & Placement Cell aims to strengthen the interaction between the corporate and the BUIT. BUIT has added new laurels in the history of on-campus placements among institutions in  India central, with corporate companies such as TCS, TATA POWER, JK TIRE, TECH MAHINDRA, JK TIRE, etc. were invited. The cell is directed by a TPO and is supported by other faculties. The Placement cell receives industry information on job opportunities and the latest trends. It spreads through corporate conferences, a training program for students, and teacher conferences are arranged. The placement department also organizes industrial visits and training for aspirants.
