Galgotias University was established in 2011 under the aegis of the Shakuntala Educational & Welfare Society. The University campus is located in Greater Noida, UP. GU constantly endeavors to provide world-class academic facilities and learning practices. As a result, QS has rated Galgotias with 5 stars for Facilities and Teaching Excellence. Besides, it has achieved prestigious awards and top rankings at the National and International levels.

It has secured MHRD NIRF Rankings in multiple categories such as Overall, B Tech, and MBA Pharmacy. Galgotias NIRF Ranking is between 151-200 band in the University Category. Galgotias comprises 13 component institutes and 19 Departments. It offers 53 UG Courses and 36 PG Courses. Respective statutory bodies have approved all the Courses. Galgotias offers hostel accommodation with all the necessary amenities. More than 1,400 students can be accommodated in the boys' hostel, and 200 students can be accommodated in the girls' hostel. The boys' hostel is situated in the campus area, while the girls' hostel is located off campus.
