Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India

Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII) is sponsored by the State Bank of India (SBI), ICICI Bank Ltd., IFCI Ltd., and IDBI Bank Ltd. since 1983. The institute covers 23 acres of land with a Wi-Fi campus, classrooms, auditorium, library, laboratory, cafeteria, medical, gym, sports, and computer labs within the campus. The institute has started the Centre for Research in Entrepreneurship Education and Development (CREED) to analyze the problems of surrounding industrial sectors, which leads to further development in entrepreneurship research and education.

• The institute offers courses like Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) in Business Entrepreneurship and Development studies and Fellow Program in Management (FPM).
• The selection of PGDM students is based on the rank scored in CMAT/CAT/XAT/MAT/ATMA, and for FPM is based on Entrepreneurship Research Aptitude Test (ERAT).
• The hostel has 96 air-conditioned rooms for male students and 30 rooms for female students with single and double occupancy at a feasible rate of INR 55-85k per annum, along with a canteen.
• Scholarships are provided to the students based on merit, SC/ST category, and weaker sections of the society to help them excel academically.

The institute is ranked IFC-Times Network Strategy Award in the year 2017, Excellent Institute for Entrepreneurship Development in India Award during the 11^th National Education Summit in the year 2017, International Mercury Award in the year 2016-17, AICTE-CII Best Industry Linked Technical Institutes in India in the year 2013, Top 25 Entrepreneurship Schools in India by Aspire in 2016 and Top 50 Management Schools of the nation by NIRF.

Placement:

The placement cell grooms the students as per the current requirements in the industries. The students are also provided with internship opportunities in famous companies with reasonable stipends given every month. The skills and personality development programs improve the students with their entrepreneurship, employability, and personality qualities. The highest salary package offered to the students is INR 4.5 LPA and the average package offered is INR 2.5-3.5 LPA. Ambuja Cement, Basix, IDBI Capital, IFMR, Axis Bank, Lupin, Naukri.com, Suzlon, Bajaj Capital, Sel Manufacturing Co. Ltd., ITC, HDFC Bank and Avery Dennison, etc. are some of the top recruiters of the institute.
