IITH, also known as the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad, is one of the leading universities for education and research. Admission to its undergraduate programme is drawn from the results of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced. At present, all the Computer Science and Engineering branches have been setting high cutoff lists for the students every year. Other branches of engineering, such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and civil engineering, also have competitive cutoff ratios but are below those of CSE in general. IIT Hyderabad JEE Advanced cutoff 2025 has been announced along with the variation in various categories like General, OBC, SC, ST, EWS, and PwD. It also varies according to programs.
The table shows the opening and closing ranks for admission to the Engineering Physics program at IIT Hyderabad in the year 2025 by category and gender. The opening and closing ranks for the Persons with Disabilities (PwD) category, irrespective of gender, was 5. In the female-only category, the ranks were different when it came to the opening and closing ranks. For example, the IIT Hyderabad cut-off for the General or Open category, the opening and closing ranks for women candidates were both 9760. The same trends go with other categories, including OBC-NCL, SC, EWS, and ST.

The above table shows the JEE Advanced cutoff ranks for various courses that have been offered by IIT Hyderabad for the last three years (2023, 2024, and 2025). In general, the cutoff ranks have been observed to be on the rise over the last few years, which suggests that there is competition among students to grab a seat at IIT Hyderabad.
They do vary, though, every year because of certain tangible aspects, which include the difficulty level of the exams, the number of applicants, and the number of seats for the occasion. Computer Science and Engineering again has the highest cutoffs every year, making it one of the most sought-after and valued streams.
