Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University is a public state university entrenched in the year 2005. The college laid its foundation stone by the former Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh. CSVTU aims at catering to efficient, systematics, and quality education since its establishment. 

This institute of CSVTU offers various programs in engineering, management, architecture, polytechnic, and pharmacy. The courses offered at this institute are UG, PG, and Doctoral level, and UGC and AICTE approve the courses.

• Around 44 engineering colleges, 40 polytechnics, one architecture college, and 11 Pharmaceutical colleges are affiliated to Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University.

The university offers various courses like B.Tech, B.Arch, M.Tech, MBA, MCA, D.Pharm, B.Pharm, M.Pharm, and Ph.D. The eligibility criterion for the following course differs from one another. Entrance examinations like JEE Mains, GATE, CAT, CMAT, XAT, MAT, ATMA, NATA, CG-PET, etc., are accepted by the institute to provide admission to the eligible candidates.

The infrastructure of the CSVTU consists of Gym, Medical room, Hostel, Laboratory, Cafeteria, Sports, Auditorium, Classrooms, etc. The hostel facilities are provided on a first-come, first-serve basis, and the annual charges for the hostel rooms are approximately INR 75000/-. The hostel facilities are provided based on sharing basis separate for boys and girls within the campus area.
