Think Twice before you Take Admission Here This institute believes in spreading fake propaganda about their placement records, if they are showing 100 placements it means there were only 10 placements. They keep students busy in attending Campus preparation classes and fool them that they will get good placements. OVERALL CRAP PLACEMENTS! College has low placement record. Most of the time they outsource their placement preparations and that do affect your regular studies. Companies do arrive in campus but packages offered are too low and that too for Call Center profiles. Companies come for CSE but mostly selected students are from Electronics and college does nothing to avoid that. They have Student Assistance Cell and Placement Assistance Cell where some talented students from each class are selected and they are being used as servants on the name of personality development. These students are made to miss their classes so that they carry Tea Tray and Breakfast for the college guests. You want to be trained like a waiter? Get admission here. Overall, if you want to get a good job then better you get admitted in any college in Maharashtra or Delhi instead of choosing any college in Chhattisgarh. Infrastructure is okay okay, not too flashy neither too low. Acceptable you can say. There is no central Auditorium, libraries have books only from CSVTU recommended books list. About Classrooms, almost 90 students sit in same classroom, you can imagine how would be the learning conditions even if a lecturer puts all his efforts. It is like a fish market when teacher is busy sketching on the black board or checking the copies. Students complained frequently about this issue, but management ignored it every time for their own convenience. Faculties are not as per University norms, there are only 9-10 faculties, while there should be at least 20 faculties considering that CSE intake is 120 students. Most of the faculties have completed M.Tech, but weightage given to them is not as per their capability and qualification. Head of the department is not capable to handle the department properly and most of his own faculties and students talk very bad about him behind his back, HoD Mr. Riju Bhattacharya lacks communication skills, neither he is qualified enough to be heading faculties who are qualified higher than him. Most of the faculties teach in Hindi language and obviously they are not able to speak in English fluently (Very Bad English). Sometimes it seems like they are practicing their English language in front of us, we laugh a lot. Several of the faculties try to create personal touch with students to attract them for personal tution classes, that creates ignorance towards those students who are not interested in tutions. In short, some faculties are biased. Management believes in promoting faculties in their friend circle without considering efficiency of other faculties. Regarding projects, no faculty has any interest, they will sign any document you present them even having any review or questions. They just want their students to go to hell with their projects and don't want to be bothered about progress of the project. I guess they have no knowledge about project thing, they are not able to even suggest a topic! Forget about helping to develop it. Course curriculum a complete biryani and at the end of the course you find that you know everything but you don't know nothing about anything! university board of studies have members without any knowledge and awareness about present industry scenario and complete syllabus is copied from JNTU like universities. Horrible! There are some certain number of events like Technostav, Teachers days and others. College management is so much fond of bringing celebrities to their campus. To be noted, whenever any celebrity arrives in our campus, his or her career is finished. For example, Ranbeer Kapoor, bipasha Basu etc. College fee is too high compared to the facilities and campus placement they are providing. It should lowered to half the present amount. Also, hostel fee is too much as compared to living standard there. There is constant pressure from college management to pay the fee on time, else they threat to not let us appear in the exams. Exam structure is designed okay okay, but paper checking is too lenient, University just want to pass every possible student and distribute their degree over the counters. There is no motive to produce a good qualified engineers, it is only bulk production of scrap material thrown in to the market and die on their own. Hostel fee is too much as compared to living standard there. Mess food is not good and there is no variety at all. You can find potato in every dish they prepare each day. On Sunday they have special food with a sweet dish. Overall you will not be happy with the food and will crave for outside food every other day. College circulates notifications regarding loan schemes provided by government to reserved castes. There is not special concession or scholarship provided to general category and they are always expected to pay fee on time. Seniors have no connection with their juniors in terms of academic help or knowledge exchange. In fact seniors stops coming to college as soon as they reach 7th semester. College management also never force them to do anything fruitful for the juniors for better being of their future prospect. I got admission to this college via PET exam. I took admission here because it was near to my residence. I heard a lot about this college that this belongs to renowned shankara group but my expectations were higher than actually offered here. Overall, my decision was wrong to get admission here. Institute owner is too much ambitious and expect his students to do everything from ground to rocket science without realizing their actual capability. Overall, You should Think Twice before you Take Admission Here There are many better options available around the country. Don't look for your comfort like distance and home town. Better you leave your nest to find something best. Campus crowd is okay. College is easily reachable via Bus, Auto and College Buses.
I am the student of electronics & telecom engineering currently in the 2nd year, before applying for the college I was so tensed about the fee structure. Based on that I would have joined for the same so when I asked what is the fee of Shri Shankaracharya Institute? The admission section reverted that Shri Shankaracharya Institute fee structure of electronics & telecom engineering is INR 2.91 lakhs and per annum fees is INR 73-72k.
