PG COURSES:-

  • University of Madras the candidate must complete his/her graduation at any cost without fail by securing 50% 
  • For MBA & MCA programmes selection will be made based on the marks obtained in the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET)

UG COURSES:-

  • University of Madras the candidate must complete his/her 10+12 at any cost

Anyone who is looking for MBA admission in Madras University will have to qualify the TANCET exam which will be conducted usually every year in specific month I think during the month of June. After the TANCET results are out soon in some few days they will tell the counselling schedule for TANCET MBA. In that counselling they will us students will be given admission on the rank we have got in TANCET. So according to that which every will suite our ranking that college will be allotted. Like that I was very lucky that I got allotted with Madras University for MBA admissions.

Learning is their main aim and the university board make sure every student is been delivered with proper education and quality education. To apply for any program candidates should have basic eligibility then to proceed with the Madras University admissions we got to have merit in academics through which admission will be granted.

If you seek Admission at Madras University for postgraduate degree MBA program, you must have completed a bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum of 55% marks. Selection will be based on the TANCET score followed by Counselling. At first, eligible applicants must register online for TANCET by logging into the respective website.

Candidates to get direct admissions for MBA at Madras University he/she must have appeared for TANCET conducted by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Tamil Nadu for eligibility criteria. Through minimum marks obtained in the qualifying examination basis seats will be offered.

Madras University admissions for MBA Course will be granted based on the TANCET Valid Score. Hence in order to get admission, candidates need to appear for entrance exam. Minimum Eligibility criteria in order to apply for MBA course is, candidates should have completed bachelor’s degree in any discipline with required 50% aggregate score.

I have secured 61%in my BAdegree. Can i get the direct admission(seat) for MA in economic.

Madras University is a state university where direct admissions are not accepted so candidates with marks and score can only be take Madras University admissions for MBA. From one of the previous year list, TANCET cut-off for MBA under general category is 56, every year based on the vacancies and number of applications cut-off will be put up

Hi, The university comes under public sector and without the entrance exam candidates are not allowed take admissions to any course. For MBA course you must appear for TANCET and should have a valid score in that.
