SDM College of Engineering and Technology (SDMCE), Dharwad is a private institute that is offering Management and Engineering programs was started in 1979. The college is having its affiliation to VU, Belgaum for offering B.Tech, MBA and M.Tech programs along with AICTE approval.

B.Tech program is conducted for four years duration with seven specializations, M.Tech program is conducted for two years duration with seven specialization and MBA program is conducted for two years of duration.

• Admissions to B.Tech program is done through any of the state level entrance exams that are KCET and COMEDK.
• The students must hold 10+2 or equivalent level education in Science stream with Mathematics, English and Physics subjects compulsorily for applying to B.Tech.
• The College is even accepting admissions for B.Tech program through management quota.
• Students who have B.Sc. Degree or Diploma engineering are also eligible for applying to B.Tech 2nd year.

B.Tech is a four year full time program offered by the college with seven specializations. Students with 10+2 or equivalent in Science stream with English, Mathematics and Physics subjects compulsorily with 45% marks will be treated eligible to apply for B.Tech program.

The selection process for B.Tech program will be based on state level entrance exam KCET or COMEDK score followed by a counseling round. The admission through management quota is also available for the students who satisfy the basic eligibility criteria.

Diploma Engineering or B.Sc. degree holders will also be permitted to apply for lateral entry admission to B.Tech program from 2nd year. The selection for lateral entry will be based on the marks obtained in DCET exam.

M.Tech program is offered for two year duration with seven specializations by the college. The program requires basic eligibility of 10+2+4 system education that is B.Tech or B.Sc. with at least 50% marks from any recognized university. The students will be finalized for M.Tech admission based on PGCET or GATE score followed by counseling.

The MBA program is for two years duration with basic specialization provided in further semesters. The students are required to have basic eligibility of 10+2+3 patter education that is Bachelor’s Degree in any stream with 50% marks from well-recognized university.
