Saranathan College of Engineering Admission

SCE is a private Institute established in 1998, Chennai. It is a self-financing Institute approved AICTE and affiliated with Anna University. Admission for these courses offered by SCE follows the rules and norms set by Anna University. SCE offers courses like B. Tech, BE, ME and MBA at present for qualifying marks. Admission for UG and PG courses offered by SCE is based on TNEA and TANCET entrance exam marks.

• The Institute offers B. Tech and BE course under UG level and ME, MBA course under PG level program.
• Admission for B. Tech and BE course at SCE is based on TNEA counselling session conducted by AU.
• Admission for ME courses at SCE is made through the TANCET entrance test conducted by AU.
• Admission for an MBA course at SCE depends on marks obtained in the TANCET exam conducted by Anna University.
• Candidates who have qualifying marks in CAT / XAT / MAT / CMAT can also apply for an MBA course.
• 65% of UG seats are offered through TNEA counselling based on HSC scores.
• The rest, 35% of the seats, are offered through the management quota. 
• The final selection for PG courses is based on the TANCA counselling process.
• 50% of the PG seats are offered through TANCA counselling session.
• The rest, 50% of the seats, are offered through the management quota.

Saranathan College of Engineering B. Tech / BE Admission 

The Institute of SCE offers BE course in seven disciplines for four years. SCE offers a B. Tech / BE course is being provided with 660 seats per annum. 

• Eligibility for BE course at SCE, candidates must have scored 50% marks in the 10+2 exam with PCM as main subjects. 
• Admission for BE at SCE is based on Merit and TNEA counselling conducted by AU.
• Eligibility for BE lateral course at SCE, students must have passed diploma or B.Sc with 55% marks in Maths as compulsory subjects.

Saranathan College of Engineering ME Admission 

The Institute offers two years full-time ME course to eligible students. ME course at SCE offers four specializations with an intake of 72 students per year. 

• Admission for the ME course at SCE is based on GATE/ TANCET examination scores.
• The final admission for the ME course at SCE depends on the TANCA counselling session.  
• Eligibility for ME course at SCE, candidates must have passed B. Tech or BE with 50% marks from a recognized board. 
• Candidates of the SC / ST category must have scored 45% to get admission.

Saranathan College of Engineering MBA Admission 

SCE offers an MBA course for two years with an intake of 60 students per academic year. Eligible students with qualifying marks shall apply.

• Eligibility for MBA course at SCE, applicants must have 50% marks in any undergraduate degree.
• Admission for the MBA course at SCE is made through TANCET admission.
• Candidates who have also passed CAT / MAT / CMAT / XAT can apply for an MBA course. 
• Final admission for the MBA course at SCE depends on the TANCA counselling process.
