Rajalakshmi Institute of Technology (RIT), Chennai, was a private technological institute in 2008. RIT, Chennai B.Tech Admissions:

Rajalakshmi Institute of Technology offers an engineering program at bachelor’s level (B.Tech) for four years divided into eight semesters. The B.Tech program has five specializations made available for the students, such as Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, and Information Technology.

The students must have 10+2 or equivalent in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with at least 50% marks from a well-recognized board.

Once the students get the qualifying exam results, they will have to register for TNEA counseling. The B.Tech admission will be based on the TNEA merit list created based on the marks obtained in the 10+2 or equivalent exam by Anna University.

The seats will be allotted for students based on the TNEA merit list. The students will have to attend TNEA counseling conducted by Anna University based on merit. The students will have to pay INR 5000/- towards counseling.

Key Points for Admissions:

  • Backward category students need 45% marks for admission, whereas reserved category students must have 40% marks for admissions.
  • TNEA is only for the students who have their HSC from any Tamil Nadu institutes.
  • Tamil Nadu students who have pursued their HSC from other states can also apply for admission and provide a Nativity Certificate at TNEA counseling time.
  • Students are eligible to apply for a later entry admission to B.Tech based on Diploma Engineering merit.
