International Maritime Academy Admission

The Institute is popularly known as IMA, established in 1999, located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. It is affiliated with Annamalai University and offers various Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Doctoral programs in Marine Services and Management. It is a prominent Institute that provides Maritime education. Admission for Marine courses is based on the entrance exam scores of the candidates. The application form is granted online and offline on the college website.

B. Tech course at IMA is offered with Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture and Ship Building.

MBA course at IMA is offered with Shipping & Port Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Shipping & Logistics Management, Shipping & Marine Insurance Management, International Business Management.

• Admission for the courses mentioned above is granted based on Merit, Personal Interview and Medical Examination.
• The Institute offers courses like B. Tech / B.Sc under UG level and M. Tech / MBA and MCA courses PG level.
• The Institute offers four years long engineering courses with various specializations for the qualifying students.  
• At the UG level, IMU offers a three-year B.Sc. course in Nautical Science and a 1-year Diploma in Nautical Science, leading to a B.Sc. degree. 
• Candidates applying for the B. Tech course at IMU are offered to the students with 60% marks in 10+2.
• To apply for the B. Sc course, candidates must have passed 10+2 in PCM with 60% marks.
• Admission for B. Tech / B.Sc course at IMU depends on Past performance followed by PI and Medical Exam.
• The Institute offers an MBA course at IMU with five disciplines for students with good academic scores.  
• Admission for the MBA course at IMU is based on academic performance, followed by a personal interview.
• Candidates seeking admission for the MBA course at IMU must have passed any degree with 50% marks.
• Final selection for MBA course is based on marks secured in previous qualifying exams, work experience, PI and medical examination.
• IMU offers an M. Tech course with various specializations for the candidates who have qualifying marks.
• To apply to the M. Tech course, applicants must have 50% marks in B. Tech / BE with relevant subjects.
• Admission for the M. Tech course at IMU is based on marks scored in the previous qualifying exam.
• For all the courses offered by IMU, candidates can download the application form online or shall obtain them from the IMA office.
• Students applying to IMU must fill the application form with the correct details.
• Eligible applicants can reserve seats by paying Rs 5000/- via DD along with the application form.
• Selected students will be informed for medical examination, interview and certificate verification round.
• Candidates who get selected by the Institute in all these rounds shall pay a courses fee to complete the admission process.
