Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi is one of the 8 IITs that MHRD establishes under The Institutes of Technology Act 2011. The Institute offers B.Tech, M.Tech, M.Sc., and PhD programs with specializations. The Institute is also offering MS by Research program in various streams. Application forms of the Institute for all programs have to be applied through online mode from the IIT Mandi official website.

• Admissions for the B.Tech program depend on JEE Advanced and counselling held at the National level.
• Students applying for M.Tech must hold valid scores in the GATE exam. Final Admissions for the M.Tech program depend on CCMT Counseling and Interview.
• Integrated M.Sc. and General M.Sc. program admissions will be based on JAM score and a written test followed by an interview.

IIT Mandi B.Tech Admissions:

IIT Mandi is offering a full-time B.Tech program for four years duration with four specializations. The basic eligibility required for admission purposes is75% marks in 10+2 or equivalent in the Science stream with PCM/B from any recognized board. Or the students must be in the top 20 positions in the respective board exam. The students will be selected for admissions based on JEE Advanced and centralized Counseling scores.

IIT Mandi M.Tech Admissions:

The Institute has been offering an M.Tech program for two years full-time with nine specializations. The students must hold basic eligibility for a bachelor's degree in engineering/technology or M.Sc. in applicable discipline with 60% marks from any recognized university. The students will be selected for admissions based on marks obtained in the GATE exam, followed by national-level Counseling.

Students who have pursued their B. A Tech degree from any IITs with 80% marks is not required to have a GATE score.

Students Opting for the M.Sc. program must have basic eligibility of B.Tech or B.Sc. in the applicable stream with 60% marks from a recognized university. The students will be selected for admissions based on IIT's written Test, followed by an interview by the Institute.

IIT Mandi M.Sc. Cut Off:

IIT Mandi Integrated M.Sc. + PhD. Admissions:

The students are offered one specialization in integrated M.Sc. + PhD in Physics. The students must have basic eligibility of BA or B.Sc. in Mathematics or Applied Science with at least 55% marks. The selection process for the students will be based on JAM, followed by an interview round by the Institute.

IIT Mandi MS by Research Admissions:

The Institute is offering this MS by Research program with nine specializations. The students with a B. Tech degree or Master's degree in an applicable stream from any recognized university or associate member of any professional bodies in the relevant stream with at least 60% marks in the qualifying exam and GATE score will be eligible to apply for MS by Research program.

The selection process in the Institute for MS by Research will be based on GATE or NET, or GRE or GMAT score, followed by an interview by the Institute.
