IIITDM, Chennai B.Tech Admissions:

The Institute is offering Engineering at undergraduate level focusing on Design and Manufacturing with four specializations for four years duration. The basic eligibility required is 10+2 with compulsory PCM subjects with at least 75% marks from any recognized board. The Institute accepts admission based on the students’ performance in JEE Main or HSCE as per the norms of CBSE Counseling held by CSAB or JoSAA for the respective years. The Final admission to any specializations will be decided during the Counseling time by CSAB.

The Institute is also offering an integrated program that is B.Tech + M.Tech for a period of five years with five specializations. The basic eligibility for applying to the dual degree program is 10+2 with compulsory PCM subjects or equivalent with minimum marks from recognized board. The students must also hold a valid score in JEE main for getting admission into the integrated program. The final admission selection for the integrated program will be based on Counseling held by CSAB or JoSAA for respective years.

The Institute is offering Master of Design (M.Des) for a period of two years with three specializations. The basic eligibility required for the admission process is B.Tech or M.Sc. in applicable stream with minimum marks from any recognized university. The students’ selection for M.Des Admission will be based on GATE exam score and CCMT counseling.

Engineering program is offered at postgraduate level with one specialization for two years of duration. The basic eligibility required is B.Tech in applicable discipline with at least 60% marks from any recognized university. The Institute is also providing Ph.D. program with five specializations for the students who are seeking for a career in research oriented fields. The basic eligibility required by the Institute for Admission to Ph.D. program is:

• B.Tech from IIT or R & D Organization with a least 8 CGPA along with a valid score in GATE exam and also an excellent record in research.
• M.Tech or M.Sc. by Research with good academicals.
• M.Sc. with good academics and excellent merit with valid score in UGC NET or GATE or CSIR NET or any other equivalent entrance exam.

The Institute is also offering admissions under without financial assistance and with financial assistance for the students.
