Government College of Engineering and Ceramic Technology also known as GCECT institute it is a government subsidized autonomous college which was started in the year 1941 located in Kolkata, West Bengal. The GCECT is approved under AICTE, NBA Accredited and affiliated to Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology which was formerly well known as west Bengal University. Institute provide UG Course in BE/B Tech and PG Course in ME/M Tech.

• Admissions for BE/B Tech will be based on the Candidates rank obtained in WBJEE Entrance Exam and for Lateral Entry Candidates must secure valid rank in JELET Entrance Exam
• Admissions for ME/M Tech will be based on the candidates valid score obtained in GATE Entrance Exam

Government College of Engineering and Ceramic Technology offers Under Graduate Program in BE/B Tech for the duration of 4 years & BE/B Tech Lateral Entry for the duration of 3 years respectively. Institute offers Ceramic Technology, Computer Science & Engineering and Information Technology.

Candidates who are aspiring to take admission for BE/B Tech Course must secure in WBJEE Entrance Exam which will be arranged by WBJEEB( West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam Board) and Candidates needs to qualify in 10+2 Exam with 45% aggregate marks (40% Reserved Category)

Candidates who are looking to take admission for Lateral Entry in BE/B Tech must appear for JELET Entrance Exam and should achieve valid score. Candidates should be completed to 3 years of Diploma.

GCECT ME/M Tech Admission Process

Government College of Engineering and Ceramic Technology offers ME/M Tech Course in two specializations for the duration of 2 years. Minimum Eligibility Criteria to get admission for ME/M Tech, Candidates must obtain a valid rank in GATE Entrance Exam and must be Graduated in Bachelor’s Degree BE/B Tech. Direct admissions is also available at GCECT College .Candidates must secure required aggregate marks in qualified examination to take direct admission.
