The Institute of DYPUSBB offers courses under Engg and Science to the candidates who have a relevant degree. Applications for courses offered by the college are provided online on the official website. Admission for programs offered is entrance based, and candidates must also secure good marks in academics.

  • The Institute offers B. Tech at undergraduate and M.Sc program at postgraduate level for the deserving students.
  • The B. Tech admission is conducted through JEE Main and MHT CET entrance examination scores.
  • Applicants must clear their 10th and 12th qualifications with 50% in the science stream to apply for the B. Tech course.
  • The Institute also offers an M.Sc program to the candidates who have 50% in B.Sc or any relevant degree.
  • Admission for the M.Sc program will be conducted on Merit in the qualifying examination.
  • Candidates who have appeared in the National and State level entrance exam can apply; if not, students must appear in the entrance exam conducted by the Institute.
  • Application forms for programs offered by the Institute will be available on the official website.

D Y Patil University School of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics B. Tech Admission 
The student applying for B. Tech at DYPUSBB are selected on the marks scored in the entrance test. The Institute offers a B. Tech course with six disciplines for four years at the undergraduate level.

  • Applicants who have qualifying marks in 12th exams with 50% marks shall apply to the B. Tech program. 
  • The Institute required the students to clear JEE Main or MHT CET entrance exam to apply for the B. Tech program.
  • The final selection of the applicants will be based on application form screening and entrance scores.

The Institute of DYPUSBB offers an M. Sc program in five fields at the postgraduate level for two years. Admission info for M. Tech at DYPUSBB is as follows.

  • Candidates must have passed B.sc or any other relevant degree with 50% marks.
  • DYPUSBB requires the students to pass the entrance exam conducted by the Institute and must have eligible scores in academics.
  • The final admission for courses offered will be through marks scores and application form screening.

The admission info and application process are made available on the official website of the Institute. Students applying can follow the steps below to apply for B. Tech and M. Sc programs.

  • The final merit list of selected candidates will be provided online by the Institute on the official page.
  • The selected candidates will have to visit the official website to apply for UG and PG programs.
  • There are two separate application forms for UG and PG programs online for the students to fill.  
  • The application form of DYPUSBB must be filled by the candidates who have eligible marks.
  • Students should add personal info, professional info, academic scores and entrance exam score sheets to the application form.
  • Students shall submit the application form to the Institute of DYPUSBB with the necessary documents.

To be eligible for D Y Patil University B Tech Biotechnology Admission 2025, you must have passed 10+2 in the science stream. In addition, you shall have studied PCMB as a subject combination. The minimum aggregate marks should be 50%.

How to get admission to a BTech in Bioinformatics?

To get admission in B.Tech Bioinformatics at D.Y. Patil University (School of Biotechnology & Bioinformatics), you should have passed the 12th grade with 50% marks, from a recognized Board in Physics, Chemistry, or Biology or equivalent subjects. Admission will be granted based on the JEE Main, MHT-CET, or the entrance test conducted by the university. Complete the online application and then proceed to pay the applicable application fee. After the selection of students, counselling would be conducted.

DYPUSBB provides a B-Tech program in 3 disciplines Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, and Food Science and Technology.

Can PCB students take admission for b.tech in biotechnology? Also,is admission done on NEET marks?

Candidates who passed class 12th with PCB are eligible for B.Tech in biotechnology. Admission for B.Tech at DYPUS is based on MHT CET or JEE Main score.
