Admissions at Thakur College of Engineering and Technology is done by qualifying the entrance exam MHT-CET and JEE Main, then the counseling and document verification and fee submitting. Admission is based on merit list, and cut-offs are usually higher specially for Computer Science Engineering due to its high demand. The admission process is well structured. Guidance is provided at each step, at every moment admission members helps students to make decisions about the selection of branch. Minority quota is applicable here. Overall, Thakur College of Engineering and Technology has transparency but a competitive admission process,  college mostly attract students who are good in academics.

Firstly I filled the application form for the MHT-CET and after that I wrote the exam in which I secured like 140 marks out of 200 in MHT-CET. Accordingly I had choice filling in the CAP process where I put all the engineering colleges which was in the top list of my head. Then I gained Thakur College of Engineering and Technology admission in the second round. They called for document verification and once the verification is done they gave me allotment letter with that I had to visit the college to lock my seat for the desired course and I choose B.tech in electronics and communication engineering.
