Uttar Pradesh PCS Preliminary Exam

Uttar Pradesh Provincial Civil Services (PCS) preliminary exam will be conducted by Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) on October 11. PCS is also known as Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services Examination.

On October 11 UPPCS 2020 prelims will be conducted. UPPSC 2020 prelims and main exam dates are been announced by UPPSC. From January 22, 2021 the UPPSC 2020 main exam will be started. Around 200 vacancies are kept and are liable to increase. Qualified functionaries get their posting various major departments such as land revenue, land records, general administration etc. Prelims qualified candidates shall appear for main exam to be eligible to attend the interview and get posted. Uttar Pradesh PCS 2020 exam will be conducted in two sessions morning session will be held from 9.30 am to 11.30 am and the afternoon session will be held at 2.30 pm.

  • PCS preliminary exam is held along with the Assistant Range Forest Officer (RFO)/ Conservator of Forest (ACF)/ exam.
  • Through this exam 200 vacancies had to fill which was announced in the April by UPPSC. The eligible candidates are graduates between 21-40 years of age.
  • Initially it was scheduled to be held on June 21 but due to COVID-19 pandemic it was postponed.

Selection to PCS posts will go through as preliminary exam followed by main exam and an interview round. The prelims would comprise of two compulsory papers of which answer sheet be on OMR sheets. For updates on the exam centre candidates should check the official website as UPPSC has been constantly updating candidates about the change in exam centres. Recently there was main exam for the 2019 PCS recruitment by the Commission. The exam was conducted from September 22 to September 26 at centres in Lucknow, Prayagraj and Ghaziabad in two sessions.

As per details given in the first notification which was released in April preliminary exam will be held at Agra, Ayodhya, Barabanki, Aligarh, Azamgarh, Bareilly, Ghaziabad, Gautambuddha, Gorakhpur, Jhansi, Jaunpur, Lucknow, Kanpur Nagar, Meerut, Moradabad, Mathura, Mirzapur, Rae Bareli, Prayagraj, Varanasi and Sitapur.
