UGC NET 2021 Information

UGC NET 2021: check to know how to apply, exam dates, eligibility criteria, and application fees . The official dates for UGC NET 2021 were released on Feb 2, 2021, and the last date for filling and submitting the applications is on March 02, 2021. This UGC NET is an entrance test stated for being a national-level admission test authentically organized by NTA. The UGC NET exam scores will be evaluated to get admissions for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor. Candidates who have scored excellent scores in UGC-NET will be qualified to become Assistant Professor or JRF in any of the well-recognized Universities and Colleges of India. UGC-NET exam will be organized twice a year, i.e., in June and in December. The June session's application process has concluded in March, and the application process for the December session will be available from September 2021. Eligibility standards for UGC NET 2021

  • The maximum age limit of the candidates must not be more than 31 years can apply for JRF 
  • No particular upper age limit for applying for Assistant professor Post
  • Candidates who are willing to apply for UGC-NET must have scored at least 55% of their PG courses marks.

The briefed exam pattern of UGC NET 2021

The examination will happen in the CBT method, where the candidates will have to write two papers in three hours.

Paper 1 inclusive of 50 questions, and paper 2 comprises 100 questions.

The conducting medium of the paper will either be in English or Hindi as chosen by the candidate.

For every right answer, they will be rewarded 2 marks and no negative marking for incorrect answers.

For a total of 150 questions, the total value of the paper is 300 marks.

The format of the paper will be in MCQ and objective-type questions themselves. 

Paper 1 of UGC-NET 2021 will have questions related to 'Teaching and Research Aptitude,' whereas paper 2 will have questions from the subjects chosen by the candidates themselves.

Step to follow on how to apply for UGC-NET 2021

1. The undergrad students will have to visit the UGC-NET website at- ugcnet.nta.nic.in

2. Candidates will have to look in for the application link on the screen and click on it 

3. Once done, a login tab will appear on the screen where the candidates will have to fill in the required information. 

4. After that, candidates will receive the registration number, which will be unique for every candidate, and it is done by putting in the login credentials. 

5. Now, fill the application form with all the correct and vital information and upload the scanned documents such as photographs, certificates, and signatures.

6. Final step in the process is to transact the application fees and click on the submit button.

7. He/she is also suggested to take a printout for future reference.

Note: The application fees for UGC-NET 2021 is for INR 1000/- for all the general category students and reserved category students like General OBC-NCL have a relaxation of INR 500/- and for SC/ST/Transgender candidates, it for INR 250/-
