MBA Admissions in Rajasthan 2021: Eligibility, Application Process, Selection Process, Counselling & Seat Allotment Process
Rajasthan Technical University (RTU) is responsible for conducting state level MBA admission process in Rajasthan State. Previously, RTU examination authority used to organize RMAT (Rajasthan Management Aptitude Test) in order to grant admission for the post graduate course MBA. However, the admission authority scrapped RMAT entrance exam in the year 2017 onwards and it has replaced with the CMAT entrance examination. In Rajasthan, almost all the government and Private MBA Colleges accepts CMAT valid score. Candidates who wish to get admission for MBA under state quota seats in Rajasthan, must mandatory clear CMAT. After the announcement of CMAT entrance exam, RTU announces the registration process for the MBA course. Later seat allotment process will be done through counselling session.
Apart from the CMAT score, in some of the Rajasthan MBA colleges also consider the valid score of National Level Entrance Examination. Premier MBA institutes such as Indian Institute of Management Udaipur only accept valid CAT score in order to provide admission for MBA and Deemed Universities of Rajasthan accepts the valid score of CMAT, MAT, XAT, CAT or it may conduct own entrance examination in order to grant admissions for MBA course. Only limited number of MBA Colleges in Rajasthan accepts the score of other national level entrance exam namely ATMA, NMAT and GMAT. Eligibility Criteria for MBA Admission in Rajasthan
Academic Qualification: Applicants seeking to apply for MBA course in Rajasthan should meet the prescribed eligibility criteria specified by the institute. The Minimum Eligibility is, candidates shall have qualified in bachelor’s degree in any specialization with required 50% aggregate score from recognized institute. Whereas, candidates who belongs to reserved category SC/ST will be having 5% of relaxation in aggregate marks such that they can secure minimum 45% aggregate score from recognized institute in qualified examination.
Domicile Rules: Candidates who are looking to get admission for MBA course under government quota through CMAT score must be resident of Rajasthan. Such candidates can claim government reservation policies and eligible for tuition fee waiver scheme and other scholarship schemes. Candidates from other than Rajasthan state are also eligible to apply for MBA in Private MBA Colleges under Management Quota in Rajasthan.
Application Process for MBA Admission in Rajasthan
In order to secure admission for MBA course in Rajasthan candidates should have qualified in CMAT entrance exam, based on the CMAT score state level counselling will be held. Hence, candidates who wish to apply for MBA under state quota need to clear CMAT. Firstly, candidates need to register via online mode by submitting the application form for CMAT. Whereas, candidates with valid CAT, MAT and other national level entrance exam score can apply the application form individually for the Private MBA Colleges in Rajasthan.
Step 1-Registeration for CMAT: Applicants must log on to the official website of CMAT (@ cmat.nta.nic.in). Then click on the available link stating “fill up online application form for CMAT”. Next, click on “New Registration”. Fill up the required details in order to complete registration process. Upon successful login, application number and unique password will be generated. To be noted, candidates required to provide valid Mail Id and Mobile Number.
Step 2-Filling up the CMAT application form: Candidates are advised to use those login credentials in order to fill up the application form. Candidates need to enter all the relevant details like academic details, personal details & contact details which has mentioned in the application form.
Step 3-Upload the scanned image: Candidates required to upload the scanned image of passport size photo and signature in a prescribed format & dimensions.
Step 4-CMAT Application Fees Payment: Applicants need to pay stipulated CMAT application fee according to the category wise. CMAT application fee charges INR 1600 for general category and INR 1000 for the reserved category.
Selection Process for MBA Admission in Rajasthan
Selection Through CMAT: After the announcement of CMAT result, concerned authority will begins the registration process for MBA in Rajasthan. After the completion of registration process, Rajasthan Technical University will prepare the merit list of the eligible candidates based on the score acquired in CMAT entrance examination. Later, eligible candidates whose name included in the merit list need to appear for counselling session. At first candidates must register via online for counselling and thereafter, can fill up the choices of colleges in option entry form in order to acquire seat for MBA admission under government quota in Rajasthan.
Selection Through CAT/XAT/MAT Selection Process: Candidates who have secured valid score in CAT, XAT, MAT or any other equivalent entrance exam can apply the application form separately for the respective colleges. Such management institutes, selection the candidates for MBA admission based on their performance in Written Ability Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
Direct Admission for MBA in Rajasthan: Students who fail to secure admission under state Quota or Students who do not have valid score either in state / national level entrance examination. Such candidates can apply for MBA Management Quota Admission in Rajasthan. Candidates from other states with valid national level entrance exam score can secure admission under Management Quota in Rajasthan Private MBA Colleges or private deemed universities.
Counselling & Seat Allotment Process for MBA Admission in Rajasthan
Counselling session for MBA admission in Rajasthan will be conducted by the Rajasthan Technical University through CMAT Merit List. Candidates whose name included in the Rank/Merit List need to take part in the counselling session as per the prescribed schedule specified by the concerned authority.
