In Uttar Pradesh, many reputed management colleges offer quality MBA education in diverse specializations. Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University arranges the UPSEE MBA entrance examination to grant admission for the MBA program. Candidates who qualify for UPSEE MBA must appear for counseling, organized by the respective authority. Apart from the UPSEE state level entrance exam, some of the MBA colleges in Uttar Pradesh accept the national level entrance exam, namely XAT, CAT, MAT, CMAT, and ATMA. To secure MBA admission through the national level entrance exam, candidates can apply the application individually to specific management institutes. UPSEE MBA counseling process & seat allocation procedure will be based on the reservation policies as per the Uttar Pradesh State Government norms. Eligibility Criteria for B Tech Admission in Uttar Pradesh
Academic Qualification: Before filling up the application form, candidates should be aware of the specific management college's eligibility criteria. The Basic eligibility to secure admission for the MBA program in Uttar Pradesh is that candidates shall have completed a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in any discipline from a recognized institute. Also, candidates should have cleared Mathematics as the main subject in class 12th or bachelor degree level. However, candidates who belong to the reserved category will have a 5% relaxation rate. There is no certain upper age limit to apply for UPSEE MBA.
Domicile Rules: Candidates seeking to take up the UPSEE MBA entrance exam should be domicile/Uttar Pradesh residents. Only such candidates are eligible to secure MBA admission under the government quota. Candidates belong to other states can get admission to private MBA colleges through the national level entrance exam. However, major preference will be given for Uttar Pradesh aspirants, and also, they are eligible for tuition fee waiver schemes and can claim government reservation policies.
Application Process for B Tech Admission in Uttar Pradesh
Applicants who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria are qualify to take admission for postgraduate degree MBA in Uttar Pradesh. Candidates who wish to get admission for MBA through the UPSEE MBA entrance exam must register themselves for the entrance exam by submitting the application form via online mode. Applicants who wish to get admission for MBA through other national-level management exams can apply the application form individually for the specific college. Step 1-Filling up UPSEE Application Form: Candidates are required to visit the respective website of UPSEE and must click on “Apply online” and then fill up all the required details, namely academic, personal, and contact information. Then select the exam center according to the preference, and then candidates are required to create the password. Thereafter, the application number and password will be generated, and then submit the application form.
Step 2-Uploading Documents: Applicants required to upload the scanned images of recent colored photograph and signature according to the prescribed dimensions
Step 3-Application Fees Payment: Candidates need to pay the stipulated UPSEE MBA application fees according to the category wise. Application fees for General Category (Male) charges INR 1300, and application fees for SC/ ST/Female (General)/PWD Candidates should pay INR 650.
Selection Process for B Tech Admission in Uttar Pradesh
Selection criteria for UPSEE MBA: After completing the UPSEE entrance exam, the authority will release the result. After the announcement of the UPSEE MBA result, the admission authority will prepare the merit list/rank list by considering the candidate's score in the entrance exam. Then it will allocate the rank for each eligible student, and such candidates need to take part in UPSEE MBA online counseling session. During counseling sessions, seat allocation will be done according to the merit rank, choice of preferences.
Selection criteria for CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT/ATMA: Candidates who wish to apply the application form through the following entrance exam need to apply for the management institute individually. Some private MBA colleges grant admission directly based on entrance test valid scores. In contrast, some of the deemed universities and reputed MBA colleges conduct group discussion, written ability test, and interview session for the further selection process.
Selection criteria for MBA Management Quota Admission: Candidates who have not secured a valid score in the entrance exam or failed to obtain a seat through UPSEE MBA counseling can get direct admission for MBA in Uttar Pradesh Private management Colleges. However, 20% of seats are reserved in private colleges for MBA management quota admission in Uttar Pradesh. Candidates from other states can get admission for MBA in Private Colleges through Management Quota.
Counselling Process for MBA Admission in Uttar Pradesh
Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University will co-ordinate UPSEE MBA Counselling. The Counselling process begins after the declaration of the merit list. Candidates eligible through the merit list can appear for counseling and seat allotment rounds. First, to participate in counseling, candidates must register themselves via online mode. As mentioned below, a counseling session involves 4 steps they are:
Step 1-Registration & Payment of Counselling fees: Foremost, candidates are required to visit the respective portal of UPSEE and must register for counseling by using their Application Number & Password, which was generated during the UPSEE MBA application process.
Upon successful login, candidates must pay the UPSEE MBA counseling registration fees, which costs INR 20,000 for General & OBC and INR 12,000 for SC / ST Category. The registration fee will be adjusted with the tuition fee during admission after the seat allotment process. Upon successful payment, candidates will receive a notification for their registered mobile number, and then they can proceed to the next step.
Step 2-Choice Filling & Locking: Candidates need to fill colleges' choices as per the order of preference. To fill the choices, candidates must log in for their respective accounts, and then they can proceed to fill up choices. To confirm the choices, candidates need to click on the lock option and submit it.
Step 3- Document Verification: Once the choice filling process is completed, candidates must visit the designated verification center along with necessary documents to complete the document verification process. Candidates are advised to go to the verification center as per the specific ranks' schedule.
Seat Allotment Process for MBA Admission in Uttar Pradesh
After completing the document verification session, the seat allotment order will be released on the official website via online mode. Candidates can view the seat allotment order by logging into the respective portal, and they will be having three options, namely Freeze, Float, or withdraw seat allotment.
