Before filling up the Madras University Distance MBA Application Form 2025, candidates are required to satisfy the eligibility norms.

  • Candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree (UG) in any stream from any recognized university.
  • Candidates must have studied for 10+2+3 or 11+1+3 (education pattern) to be eligible.

  • Candidates are required to appear for the entrance exam conducted by the University.

Madras University Distance MBA  Fees Structure 2025

How to apply for Madras University Distance MBA Admission 2025

The University of Madras provides three ways to apply for admission to the Distance MBA. You can use any one way as per your convenience. The mode of admission process is online as well as offline.

Madras University Distance MBA Admission through Single Window Admission Centre (Chennai Campus)

In this offline process, you can apply at the IDE Campus, Chepauk, Chennai, directly. Check out the steps to apply.

Step 1: Go to the Single Window Admission Centre at IDE — Chepauk Campus, Chennai.

Step 2: Submit the application form in the prescribed format (fill-in form available for free of cost; collected from the IDE centre)

Step 3: Enclosures to be submitted along with the filled-in application:

  • Photocopies of the certificates (in order)
  • Filled-in Computer Coding Sheet
  • If the certificates are in any other language, then you have to submit an English translation certificate duly attested by a Gazetted Officer.
  • Original certificates will be verified and returned.

Step 4: Need to pay Madras University Distance MBA Entrance Exam fees 2025, which is approximately INR 400.

Step 5: If you are eligible (pass), then you will receive a Provisional Admission Letter.

Step 6: Tuition Fee (and other fees) payment can be made at any Indian Bank branch.

Step 7: Course study materials (and ID Card) can be collected from the centre.

 

Madras University Distance MBA Online Admission Process 2025

You can also apply entirely online from anywhere in India. You may apply online by following these steps:

Step 1: Visit the official website of Madras University Distance Education. The registration link will be available on this website.

Step 2: Make sure to read all instructions and the eligibility criteria before registration.

Step 3: Complete the online application form and submit the online fee.

Step 4: ID card and study materials will be dispatched by post.

Step 5: You will need to send the following documents to "The Director, IDE, University of Madras, Chennai – 600005, within 15 days of your online registration:

  • Original certificates (for verification)
  • Photocopy of Provisional Intimation slip
  • One passport-size photo

OR, you can submit the documents in person at the IDE Online Admission Section.

Note: The PCP (Personal Contact Programme) for online students will be conducted only in Chennai. This online admission is only for Indian nationals.

Madras University Distance MBA Admission through Study Centres (in the state of Tamil Nadu)


Students who are eligible and living in Tamil Nadu state can apply through LSCs/Study Centres that have been approved. Check out the following steps to know how to apply through study centres :

  • Collect the prospectus and application form from any of the Madras University Distance MBA study centres.
  • Once completed, submit the form (and all the required documents) to the Co-ordinator of any approved LSC.
  • When selected, the eligible student will be provided with a Provisional Admission Intimation, which will bear the Enrollment Number allotted to you.
  • The student will then pay the admission fees online or through an Indian Bank Challan (in triplicate).
  • Then the students will submit the fee receipt to the LSC Co-ordinator, who will inform the University.
  • The University will dispatch the ID card and study materials to the concerned LSC.
  • Then, students can collect the study materials and ID card from their respective LSC.
